2024-12-16 20:39:13 +0000 UTCWhat Shinobu meant in episode 2 is that a vampire with that low of a healing ability would likely immediately disintegrate if they stepped out into the sun. But the reason that Araragi's healing ability is so low is not because he is just a generally weak vampire, but that he is only partially vampire. Shinobu was still operating under false assumptions at that point not knowing the full picture, which is exactly why they called the specialists in the first place. It was better to be overly cautious and not step into the sun when they didn't know the full circumstances, but as it turns out his vampirism has not progressed far enough for it to affect him being able to step out into the sunlight.
