2024-11-25 01:34:22 +0000 UTC59:10 Mat. Idky, but this scene made me REALLY wanna ask you to react to Assault Lily: Bouquet!!!! While so many folks harp about this anime being precious to them, and I certainly don't dislike it, Assault Lily would be my darling Magical (Kinda, but Not Really) Girl adjacent anime. One season, a BUNCH of manga now, all to do with a mobile game I, sadly, haven't played. The anime happened and I watched it as it aired in a whim. Damn. I still get overwhelmed somethings when I think about it. It actually fits perfectly in the "folder" where Symphogear would be, when you go by genre, emotional impact, character personalities, and overall impression. Just had to throw that out there, as I am certain that you'd enjoy that anime much like this one. <3

2024-11-21 21:00:49 +0000 UTCTo answer the question - the damaged relic Maria had was Serena's relic that got destroyed when she sacrificed herself and we saw Maria carry it around throughout the season. The relic that Hibiki had at the end is the Gungnir that Maria was using throughout the season and that was the gear that Hibiki took from Maria in order to transform, which she was able to do because she is more naturally attuned to Gungnir while Maria used it with linker (like Kanade). She was going to give it back but Maria told her she should be the one to keep it. So now she has a necklace relic like the rest of the Symphogear users and no longer has pieces of Kanade's armor inside of her. As for Fine, she didn't move frome Kirika to Shirabe, she always was inside of Shirabe. The shield that saved Kirika and Shirabe a few episode ago was actually created by Shirabe but since she was unconscious both Kirika and the viewers are made to believe that she is the one to do it. There are a bunch of other hints of it in episode 11 but I won't go into details because I believe other comments have mentioned those already. Anyway, I'm really excited for the rest of the seasons, still a lot of great things to come 😄

The Fine plotline was important to basically turn Kirika extreme and give her a reason to keep fighting even when Shirabe turned against them. Then used as a way to redeem Fine a bit for sacrificing herself to save Shirabe, showing that Hibiki made an impression on her.

Ver really does hard carry the season for me, well him and Kirika. I have too much bias for DESS and her being cute with Shirabe. All the Maria and Nastassja stuff really just doesn't resonate with me at all. BUT this season does have a lot of very awesome scenes and is far from bad. The production values were clearly a lot higher, and yes, for the most part it only gets better as we go. Production values and villains alone can't carry a season for me though... or can it? ;) Onwards to season 3! (after the specials!)

2024-11-20 00:03:39 +0000 UTCTo add to this, when Maria first activated Serena's Gear, Airgetlám, she didn't actually have a gear.. she was just semi nude and glowing, the broken relic fragment didn't seem to be able to produce it. Once the phonic gain amplified and activated everyone's X-Drive however, Airgetlám was able to manifest an actual Gear for the final fight.. but in doing so, the fragment broke even more to the partial that we saw in the final moments of the episode.

2024-11-19 21:18:52 +0000 UTCSo it was heavily implied that Finé awoke in Shirabe the whole time and not Kirika. She unconsciously saved Kirika the first time. And when she was talking to Genjuro, she talked as if she already knew him. Then she even said the same line to Hibiki that Finé did, and in that moment her eyes changed color to Fine's. Finé was even implied to have taken the hit for Shirabe. Even if she says she played the villain to long to be a hero, she willingly sacrificed herself to save Shirabe. Hibiki had a bigger influence on Finé than realized, completely humbling her. As for Hibiki taking Gungnir back, it theoretically was always a possibility. Because Hibiki was the one who actually attuned and awakened Gungnir, unlike Maria who was just using linker and couldn't maintain it for long. They were fragments of the same relic. As for Maria, she used her sisters broken symphogear to transform in the end. Which was very dangerous to do, since it was broken and unstable. And in the end we see it broke even more, this time clean in half.
