I just double checked the scene and neither saber nor archer killed berserker. They explicitly state that berserker is unharmed even though archer hit him with a high ranking noble phatasm. It's left vague why Ilya is interseted in archer but she retreats due to her newfound interest in him rather then due to her or berserker being in any sort of danger. The final attack by archer is the the only attack by him that berserker took seriously which is probably why it caught Ilya's attention.

2024-11-20 01:00:54 +0000 UTCIt's true, and fun fact, in the visual novel Saber can't even kill Berserker, but in anime they make her deal more damage than she should, and when Berseker saw Archer arrow, in that instant he raise his sword to defend againt it, that's why Illya reaction confuse anime onlys

In fact, Archer's arrow is powerful enough to destroy Berserker's body instantly. However, with Berserker's Noble Phantasm, he may be able to regenerate his body so quickly that Rin can't tell that he's dead. Note: The scene where Ilya is interested in Archer causes her to retreat immediately. Because if she continues to fight Saber while Archer is still shooting arrows like this, Berserker will definitely die. PS : I also read about this scene from YouTube (which I recommend that you don't read the comments because there are a lot of spoilers).
