Progress Report
Added 2023-06-27 11:25:48 +0000 UTCWhew. Okay, so obviously this is entirely about Haven's Port, since it's the last reward for the month that isn't already out. Unfortunately, I'm going to say right off the bat that there almost certainly going to be a day or two of delay.
Why?
Because holy whale balls, I way underestimated both the amount of programming and the amount of writing I'm going to need to do for this build. By a lot. After two days solid of programming (normally the fastest single part of a Haven's Port release), I'm still six scenes shy of finished with that part. And my brain is currently fried. I'm going to take an hour or so to knock out the writing for 2-3 of the easier scenes, just to squeeze in as much as I can before I crash. But the rest of the programming will have to wait until tonight. It's likely going to take me all the way through the morning of the 1st just to get the writing done. With the game not likely to release until at least early morning on the 2nd. Possibly as late as early on the 3rd. Though I'll try not to let it stretch out that long.
I'm sorry guys, gals, and others. That's a bit longer than the usual delay when something goes wrong...but I overreached BIG TIME without realizing it. On the plus side, that means that there is a lot of content stuffed into these scenes. Sheer word count wise, it may actually outstrip even the one or two builds that have had more renders in them. Hopefully, that's decent compensation for the lateness of the build...
