Progress Report

Alright! So...first, the polls are still running for another couple of days! Make sure you go vote in whichever ones you qualify for if you haven't already!

With that reminder taken care of, it's probably past time I did a progress report for the month. With the polls still going, there's only so much to report, hence why I haven't...but we can cover at least a few things. It's not like I haven't been working on stuff, after all.

Haven's Port

First and most obvious, given the images! I've been chewing through the challenges for another of the Patron Spirits. I've gotten all three of that particular Patron Spirit's scenes done so far, and I'm starting on the last of the Patron Spirits for Rose Garden today. That means I've technically only gotten 3 scenes done for Haven's Port so far this month...but that's because I started with the longest ones. The shortest of those three is a 7 render scene, with one of them being 10+. So far, I've actually chewed through around 25 renders. So, solid progress respite the seemingly low actual scene count. 

Beyond that, I'm not willing to say too much, since even with just the images I had to be very careful not to provide too much in the way of spoilers. That's likely to be the case for the next progress report as well, since I'm focusing first and foremost on knocking out the content for the three remaining Patron Spirits. Which I'm estimating will likely take until around the 12th. Give or take a day or two.

 Suffice it to say I haven't run into any major issues yet, at least.

Short Story

Obviously, the Short Story Poll isn't done yet. But I have about 2.5k words down for the non-poll short. Which is, in fact, a second entry for The Starship Promise, as I had said it might be. It did so well in the polling last month that I wanted to give it a chance to shine, even if it didn't win! 

The story includes a couple of simple renders as well, which was always intended to be a feature of that story. Nothing like what the Mixed Media shorts have. Just a couple of simple character sprites and a single location image. I did those up front so they wouldn't get in the way when I needed to start rendering for whichever MMS wins the MMS Poll. I'm actually hoping to get most or all of the rest of the story written today, then edited and posted either tomorrow or Monday. 

Wallpapers

As usual, the Wallpapers were literally the first thing I rendered this month. Also as usual, I haven't post-processed them yet. I'll try to get to that sometime this weekend. But those of you who have been around a while are aware that I have an inexplicable aversion to doing the processing and typesetting for them. Even I don't really understand why, since it's not actually hard. Just irritating. So...who knows if I'll actually get it done or find perfectly reasonable reasons to procrastinate it instead...
