Quick Note
Added 2022-12-31 08:02:53 +0000 UTC*Edit* Things went as expected. Programming/writing/editing is effectively done. But still need to test still and I'm about to crash. Whether it's out tonight or sometime tomorrow is up to whether or not I can squeeze the testing into any time I might have today.
Alright. So...I'm fairly certain I'm going to finish the programming and writing, as well as the editing pass, by the time I crash in four hours or so. I'm on the last level of the Dungeon Path now, with most of what I've already done also already edited. What I'm considerably less sure about is the testing portion.
I might have time to cram it in. Maybe. And if I don't, I might have an hour or two this afternoon/early evening that I could do it in. But those are some very shaky 'mights.'
The net result is that The Morning After (as the game is now officially titled) might not quite release in time. If it wasn't for the New Years Eve party I'm going to interfering, it would be done and out by midnight, no sweat. As it is, it's iffy at best. However, it's so close to done I don't expect it to (baring some sort of major disaster) be out any later than late evening on the 1st. So, if there's a delay, it will be an extremely minor one.
As for the short story...I haven't even touched it yet. The game's writing/programming took significantly longer than I'd anticipated. Like, almost double the amount of time I'd allotted for it. And it's not even quite done yet. So the Short Story will be late. But it will be the first thing I knock out in January. Aside, of course, from the game itself if I don't quite manage it on time.
