Short Story Poll

So, first off, I need to apologize. I realized only two days into the polling that I'd accidentally failed to allow multiple-choice voting for the Short Story Poll. Unfortunately, enough people had already voted that I felt I'd be doing everyone more of a disservice to try to fix it than to just let it play out. This was not an intentional change, and I apologize for the oversight :-(. The poll will continue to be multiple-choice in the future.

It was a pretty close race, all around. Part of that might be the whole no-multiple-choice-voting thing that happened on accident. Another part might simply be that I've cut down on the number of options, focusing the votes a bit more. Whatever the case, Alyia and the Magic Shop took the victory. Given that I actually have a loose outline for the next section of that story, that's not something I'm about to complain about! As to which other story I'll do this month...I'm honestly not sure. 

To be honest, I've been sort of half-burned out this month on writing, which is a little odd for me. But I've actually managed to get a little R&R time so far this month (finally sinking my teeth into Monster Hunter: Rise, which I bought shortly after it came out T-T), which is helping recharge those batteries. Given that I have a decent idea what to do with Alyia and the Magic Shop, I'm not particularly worried just yet about writer's block or anything. Much too  early in the month to really be concerned yet. Particularly as work on both Haven's Port and Silas Station is going smoother than usual (so far, knock on wood...).

Honestly? No real surprises here. Actually, that isn't entirely true, since I was surprised it was as close as it was. With Silas Station battling it out with an unestablished MMS and the comics that I rather openly don't actually want to update, I was a little surprised how well the Danger Room idea did. Nevertheless, Silas Station won again and I started renders on it this weekend. I've gotten 4 renders done so far and will probably go ahead and knock out a fifth before I crash for the morning. So far, renders have been pretty smooth. Here's hoping it stays that way!
