Progress Report + Poll Results

Alright. This is likely to be the last progress report before the Haven's Port release. And mostly the news is good. Before I tackle that, though, there are also the Poll Results to cover from Talia's Kink Poll.

Poll Results

This one...half surprised me? I'm not really surprised by which option won, I honestly didn't have much clue which it was going to be this time. What did startle me was how one-sided the poll was! I had no idea the a cosplay option would be so popular. Makes me a little chagrined I've put less effort than I apparently should have into Haven Port's wardrobe system...

Anyway. As you've probably gathered already. The Cosplay Kink option won by something of a landslide:

Taking almost 2/3rds of the vote all on it's own, there's no question at all here what you all want to see. So, Talia's official secondary kink is now Cosplay. This will include both an enthusiasm for dressing the MC and others up in provocative Cosplay...and some desire to Roleplay with them once in those costumes ;-).

Expect to see the final Poll for this set, specifically one to establish Revina's Secondary Kink, to pop up in the next couple of days. It will run into next month, of course. With Arianna and Talia's already sorted out, I'll have enough content to plan out and work on for the first week or two of the month anyway. As such, the last poll running into August isn't an issue really. Even if I'd honestly meant to get it done a bit earlier. I admit I've been dragging my feet a bit, as I've been struggling to quantify good options for Revina. She's the most...emotionally complicated? I guess that would be the best way to put it. She's the most complicated of the four girls, which is making it harder to match up kink options I think would work good with her...

Progress Report 

First, I'll touch on the short story thing real quick. I actually did get a small amount done on a one-shot to fill in the third story I'd hoped for...but I've currently shut down working on it to focus fully on the Haven's Port release. As such, it probably won't be published before the end of the month. That was, sadly, always a possibility, particularly with the slightly delayed start to the month. Depending on other factors, I may or may not still get it out. Or, rather, it may become one of the two for next month depending on how things go. That would represent a mild failure on my part, but I'm not going to cripple the overall game development schedule over a minor reward :-(. We'll see how it goes.

As for Haven's Port. The very last scene-related render is running as I type this. And I've only discovered one transition render I missed so far. So, for all intents and purposes, rendering is done. Even better, I've already post-processed everything (except the last scene that has been rendering today). I'm also anticipating being done with coding by the time I crash in a couple of hours. Though I did end up putting off one code overhaul I wanted to do. It would simply be too involved for the time I have left in the month. Given that I hadn't even mentioned the system the overhaul was intended to introduce, it won't be missed, and I'll get to it eventually. 

Anyway, all of that means that what is left is just Writing for all the scenes and Testing/Bugfix. That's where the slightly iffy news comes in. There's a full 18 scenes to do, plus some transition bits. None of them are super long scenes this time, meaning there's a good chance I can get more of them done in a day than usual...but I'd normally expect 18 scenes to take at least 3 days to do the writing bits for. And then testing/bugfix/upload usually takes a day all on it's own. All of which means I'm cutting it very close. I'd currently estimate roughly a 50% chance that the release happens late night on the 31st...and a 50% chance that it happens sometime on the 1st of August instead. So, a super minor deadline delay might happen. But, unless something goes badly wrong, I doubt it will be more than a day. And there's a solid chance that it will technically be on time, just very close.
