Left Hand Magic - Build 4 ($5 Patron Release)

Uggggghhhh. Finally done. Even after getting some sleep, the issue with the gallery took some time to run down. And then I ran into a whole other issue trying to build the APK version for the release. I ultimately had to transfer the files over to my old laptop and build it there, because there's something screwy going on with the JDK install on the new one. I remember having the same issue with Renpy and OpenJDK before...but not how I fixed it. I think it required some registry editing and my brain isn't up for that at the moment.

ANYWAY. It's done. Thank all that is good and just. And boobs too, since boobs are obviously justice! Now...as for what's actually in this build.

Despite the fact there there are technically only 8 new scenes in Build 4, this is actually the single largest addition of new content so far. The reason for the seeming disparity there is because the new Weekend events are large in comparison to normal weekday events. Weekday events might have as many as 5-6 still renders. The shortest of the main four weekend events for Build 4 has 16. Likewise, despite there only being 8 scenes, there are actually a total of 13 new animations, since most of the scenes in this build contain full 2-animation-stage H-events. Add in easily the most text I've added to any build thus far and, overall, this is actually the largest addition of new content yet. For a better summary, check the release notes.

Suffice it to say that, despite the delay caused by me being sick, I'm actually quite happy with the build itself. Now, onward to the links!

Left Hand Magic Build 4 Release Notes

The primary focus of this build was to get the second set of Weekend events into the game. Additionally, per Patron voting, Trix received her Week 3 weekday events.

Included in this build:

- 4 New Weekend Events (1 for each girl). These are all rather long dates with dual-stage H-animations.

- A second solo/masturbation scene for the MC also available on the weekend.

- 3 New Weekday Events for Trix.

- A total of 13 new animations, spread across 8 new scenes

- 98 new still renders

- 7 new Gallery entries

- Oodles of character development

- Bugfixes and typo correction

- Also probably plenty of new bugs -_-

There isn't a good way to do it directly in Renpy. I actually DO copy-paste each line, one at a time, into Grammarly though. Then re-copy paste them back into Renpy. Normally, that eliminates the worst of the errors. Given that I was still pretty out of it when I was doing that this time, it's likely I just missed more issues? I also re-wrote some stuff I wasn't happy with during the testing, after I'd already done the editing pass, so that's a possible cause for any errors in Revina and Trix's date content in particular. It also doesn't check proper names at all -_-. I'm glad you're happy with the content amount, at least :-). I might try to give it another editing pass in a day or two, when I've had that whiskey and day to relax ;-).

I didn't encounter any bugs, just a whole lotta spell checking errors, more I want to list. Is there a way to ask Ren'py to do that? Or do you need to import text wholesale? Because even copy pasting into word or something similar would find them, they're mostly dropped letters from words etc., and misspellings of proper names. Also the whole lack of a back button in the gallery, but that's an asked and answered. Other than that, Holy Shit what a content update! Pour yourself a drink and relax for a day or something because damn that's a lot of work.
