Progress Report

Time for a progress report! Shockingly, I'm a bit ahead of where I expected on Left Hand Magic. Sadly, I'm also somewhat behind on literally everything else (except the wallpapers, I guess). Still, let's take these one at a time...

Left Hand Magic

As I said, I'm about a day ahead of schedule right now with animations. This has nothing to do with not having any screw ups, as I've had two major ones. Rather, it's the new hardware that I purchased in late February once again showing it's worth. Times for a single animation run have been slashed from around 10-12 hours to 6-8 in most cases. Enough of an advantage that needing to redo a render set isn't as time-crippling. So, yay for that! Hopefully, I can keep it up and gain another day or so over the rest of the animation period.

Comic/Mixed Media

A Bet Maid is proving to be a problem child so far >_<. And the super annoying part is that it really shouldn't be. I'm starting to think that I may be approaching the end of the useful lifespan for my laptop as far as renders go. I may need to consider pursuing new hardware again...but right now that's not quite an option. Kinda tapped out for funding anything new at the moment. Maybe if patronage picks up (as I hope it will) as Left Hand Magic gets more builds, it might be an option. And one that would help me quite a lot.

Regardless. Right now I've only got about 9 renders done...when I was expecting to be done rendering tomorrow. Even under ideal conditions, I'm now likely to need an additional 3-4 days, which is going to hurt.

Short Story

I've made some progress. I've gotten about 1,600 words into the story. The problem I'm running into here is a combination of lacking time and needing to reread some of the previous story to make sure I don't cover ground I've already gone over. My notes were...lacking, and it's been long enough since I made them that I needed to reread a significant portion of the story in order to plan for this part. As it is, what I've decided on are a series of isolated missions showing time skips between Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. Since, unlike the actual games, my Shepard didn't randomly die to an ambush, I need to fill in content for that time period. As I don't really like time skips, though, I'm struggling a little bit to make them coherent, as well as to figure out how to mix in the smutty lemon times.
