Progress Report

Okay! Considering that every other reward for the month is actually done and already out for once, this progress report can be pretty simple. In short, Haven's Port is currently going pretty well. Despite losing over a week off the front of the month due to the overun of Left Hand Magic and a couple of days spent extremely sick, I managed to render a full 14 scenes for the build. That's still a bit lighter weight than normal, though the fact that the scenes average 6.5 renders per scene makes up for some of that. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with how much I managed to squeeze in despite the delay. Well, assuming nothing goes wrong in the remaining bits, at least.

As for those remaining bits, basically all that remains is the programming/writing and edit/test phase. There was a lot more post-processing work to do this time than usual, but I spent the last two days hammering through all of that. The mermaid scene you can see one of the renders of attached was one of the more complicated, as an example. The underwater effect you see there (which I think turned out decent?) is purely post-processing and took some serious fiddling around with to get looking how I wanted.

I'll be starting with writing/programming scenes later today/tonight. And if nothing goes wrong, there shouldn't be any real issue getting the game out by the 31st. That said, I've things have done so unusually smoothly that I admit I'm kinda checking the sky every five minutes to make sure a plus sized boot is dropping from a passing airplane...
