Alright! The polls have wrapped up, so I'll cover those first, before going into what I've been working on for Left Hand Magic.
Protagonist Poll
The vote was actually pretty close between The Bad Girl and The Elven Tomboy! Super Curves got no love, surprisingly. You see that over-the-top-boobs stuff so often in H-Games that I figured some people had to like it. But apparently not, at least not amoung my patrons. Which is fine by me, really, as I always thought that looked ridiculous in most cases. Big boobs are awesome...but boobs the size of someone's entire torso are a little silly.
Regardless, while the voting was somewhat close, there could only be one winner. And The Elven Tomboy took the checkered flag, ending with 53% of the total vote! Given that both she and the Bad Girl share some similarities in general type as well, I think the vast majority of everyone will likely be pleased :-). If you want to see the winner's description again, you can pop over to the Poll Post. I was going to add it here again, but this post is already going to be super long...
Short Story Poll
Voting was very close here! In order of votes:
-------
Galactic Nomad: 40
The Long Haul: 38.16
Mass Effect: Final Error 36.16
The Starship Promise: 19.16
The Dungeon of Lewdity: Origins: 15
Transformation Estate: 10
-------
So, Galactic Nomad won, and I've already started on it, though I only have about a thousand words down so far. A little less, actually. Still, I have a solid plan for it. As for the second story of the month...I think since the voting was so close that I'll take either The Long Haul or Mass Effect: Final Error and do one of them as the second short this month. I'll take a look at both and see which one my muse is working better for as soon as I can, since ME:FE at least has a follow-up poll due, if I recall correctly.
Comic Poll
Wow! After several months of offering up new ideas, one of them finally edged out the previous stories :-p. Stranded on Silas Station actually took 75% of the vote, giving it the win. Since I know only the Royalty Members can see the description. Here's the short intro bit I gave.
Stranded on Silas Station
Terra didn't know what she was getting into when she found the old, abandoned station. She was just a salvager! And the abandoned asteroid base had seemed like a hell of a find. How was she to know that the entire place was still active? And that it had been made as some sort of pervert's educational center?! Okay, so maybe she should have read the disclaimer when she signed herself up as a 'experimental volunteer' in order to get through security. But who actually reads those things even when they aren't for some long abandoned base?
Only, now, the stupid base thought she was here to learn about...things...and it had locked her in...
--------------Left Hand Magic Progress Report!------------------
Okay, this had been a REALLLLLY long post, so I'll keep this section a bit shorter if I can. Essentially, what I've been doing for the last few days is working on making the game's Core Locations. It's going significantly slower than I'd hoped...but I've gotten 3 of the core locations done to my satisfaction. You can see them in the post images. Respectively, they are the Lab, CEO's Office, and the MC's bedroom(at start of game). The magicalness of the scenes has ended up being subtler than I originally intended...but I honestly think the overall aesthetic is fairly good so far. Though I may still tweak each location a bit. Feedback is, of course, welcome.
As things are going, I've probably got at least 2 more days of this. I have the Workshop almost done (it's rendering right now) but I've still got to make one more primary location for the Left Hand Magic offices, plus an off-site location. Originally, I had also planned to make all of the Major NPC's apartments as well...but I've just realized I don't actually need those for the prologue material. I'd still like to have them done, but given how long each one is taking, I think I'll reorder their priority to be worked on only after I've done all the prologue. If there's time at the end of the month to knock a few more of them out, yay! If not...well I can just do them as I need them later, I guess. Though that's less ideal. I'd like a lot of this front-end type stuff done in order to smooth out the content updates in the future.
Either way, that's what I've been up to! I hope you like the results! I'm fairly happy with them myself.
