Scale Tutorial!

I made a scale tutorial for anyone interested, primarily about shading them. I have a few tutorials planned for how to actually draw them in the first place to be for another time. This is still potentially a work in progress, since I’m not the best at explaining myself. If there’s a step that is confusing or something is too vague, please let me know and I can try to modify it. Thank you!
this is a technique I’ve just messed around with, that’s more detailed than my simplistic scale style I often use. I hope this can come in handy for you!

These above links only work in Procreate (the app I use for drawing, for the iPad Pro). However i also included the image of the scales I had drawn for my own custom brush. with the image above you should be able to turn it into a brush yourself if you’re familiar with what settings you need to adjust to make it flow/repeat the pattern correctly!
