Patreon Update

Dear Patrons,

Thank you so much for your support! Hope you are doing well and taking good care of yourself in these hard times!

I wanted to give a little letter for a little update. Have you heard of FanBox? Well this is a system like Patreon in Japan, but runs under a different system than Patreon (generally). Patreon is either monthly rewards or per artwork. FanBox on the other hand is  artists submitting as soon as there is content and keeping all rewards permanently like I am now. I do realize lately that its been stressful with so much work and responsibilities, therefore for now I will run Patreon like FanBox.

That means I will submit art and things through out the month as well, not just in the beginning of the month (but I will work to still do that). I feel like I want to do more if I can, and without pressure of having lots of art ready by a certain date while I have commissions to finish soon (I cannot submit majority of commissions on Patreon). That's why I really like the FanBox system, because its rather a support system with rewards given for that support, rather than a shopping system that Patreon is (i.e sign up by 'this date' to get 'these rewards').

If anything and I am too busy to provide content I will PAUSE the pledges and you will not be charged.

Let me know what you think and thank you again!

Kind Regards,

Kana

AAAA Thank you so much for the kind words!! I didn't know other patreon creators did it too, but nice to see I am not the only one ^^~

Kana, a few other Patreon artists I support have also opted for the "update as you go approach" and I strongly support it. I see Patreon as a subscription to support artist rather than as an entitlement to get monthly content deliveries by a certain date. Personally, I view the monthly deadlines mentality as causing needless stress and pressure on the artist. I also prefer smaller, but more common updates anyway. It allows me to better appreciate what you and others take hours and days to create and less stress and pressure for you. So a win-win, I say! :) Take care!

Its fine by me~

Ahh you mean not many people on pixiv are there? Maybe, I feel like the japanese hesitate if they have busy schedules because they cannot upload. Anmi for example hasnt uploaded in two months and I am subbed to her on FANBOX. Its almost like a mini tip jar with occasional rewards, so I'd understand why they dont wanna feel pressured or if clients dont let them release work.

I personally do not mind fanbox <.< Not that many people seating on pixiv though
