Bro what's your point
Hey guys! I'm working on pages again now that I'm not as worried about my eye anymore!
I had Hiveworks send me the rest of my stock after the warehouse clearance sale ended and the books finally arrived. They are all boxed up behind my couch right now. Originally I wanted to start working on setting up a storefront, but got word that the situation at Hiveworks is actually more dire than even I knew.
I knew they were downsizing, I knew they were going to have limited services, but they were adamant that webhosting was still going to be a service they offered. I thought I'd have time to get everything else in order before deciding if I wanted to keep hosting my site through them. They're not taking away that service BUT it sounds like pretty much all staff are on their way out, including the tech team. Basically I can't rely on Hiveworks to manage any of the services I signed up for (or pay me for my sales in a timely manner) so I've sent in my notice to break ties with them while the tech team is still around to give me my site files.
I'm currently weighing my options for how to go about changing my hosting and potentially rebuilding my site through a different system like wordpress, which I've never used before. Webtoon isn't really the best option for me since my comic already breaks their content policies (did you know you can't even post a bare ass as a joke?) and I'd prefer to stay on my own domains anyway.
I'm gonna keep working on pages, but the site might go down at some point while I'm getting everything figured out. In the meantime, if you go to the site now and join my discord there (it's not connected to my patreon for reasons) I've created a channel with JUST pages of TQ so you can still easily read all the publicly available pages even if the site isn't working.
Thank you everyone for bearing with me during all of this!!!
Please do not approach current or former staff members of Hiveworks or discuss my situation publicly. Most people involved are trying their absolute best and I don't want anyone being harassed. However if someone who ever worked for Hiveworks is offering to be your agent or editor, maybe just politely refuse.
