Cabin Chronicles #1: Unpacking

For the past week, I got to enjoy a relaxing week in a cabin tucked back in the woods, and each night, I had one mission after everyone went to bed- play out some scenarios that I knew would make perfect stories for this page. Working quickly, I outlined what I wanted to do, and I filmed and did self-timer photo shoots in the basement. I'd then get a restful night sleep and spend the day as if nothing had happened downstairs.

Now that I'm back at my place, it's time to write up each story. This first post is just the intro, and I'm making it public for anyone to check out! We'll find out what Rob's plan is in Part 2, and once the fun has really begun, you'll need to make sure and subscribe to read the rest. Voyeur members will be able to read everything, but if you want the photos and videos that inspire each part, you'll need to be a VIP patron to get access to the Discord where I post all of that. If you like what you see here, then drop a like or send a message to motivate me to get each part up as soon as possible!

Pulling out my suitcase, I checked my watch again to see that I had exactly 17 minutes to fully pack my bag and be ready to meet my friend outside my place. I was praying that he’d choose today to finally not be painfully punctual, but I knew that I wouldn’t be that lucky. Starting with the essentials, I threw my toiletries into a bag after giving myself a few extra spritzes of cologne and grabbed all of the various chargers that I’d need.

Back in front of my closet, I grabbed shirts, shorts, and underwear and threw those into their corresponding packing cubes. Well, the shirts and underwear got neatly folded, but I couldn’t find the third zip-up pouch, and I didn’t have time to look for it now. Stuffing all of that into my bag, I continued running around since I still needed to grab a few books that I’d pretend to have time to read, grab snacks from the kitchen, and maybe even respond to a few emails that my boss managed to send even after I told them that I’d be going offline for a week.

16 minutes later, I heard Charlie honk his horn right as I sat on my couch to celebrate getting everything done with a bit of rest, but laughing to myself, I just threw on my sunglasses and headed outside to throw my bags into his trunk.

For the past few years, my friends always took a week-long trip up to a mountain cabin near the start of summer. It was about two hours away, and once we found one with a pool table, a hot tub, and a welcome package that said they regrettably did not have internet access, we basically started an annual reservation. The guest list was ever changing as boyfriends came and went, and new friends were added and promptly never seen again. The constants though were me, Charlie, Dennis, and Rob, and in addition to Rob’s now fiancé, we were heading up again. In his car, John had Rob next to him in the front, and Dennis would be in the back as the DJ. Charlie and I got off work earlier than them, so like usual, we would get up there, grab groceries, and set up the place first.

Catching up between songs on the curated playlist, Charlie drove into town, and we watched the serious hikers coming out of the grocery store carrying bags laden with granola bars and propane tanks for their camp stoves. We were there to buy hard seltzer and supplies for daily charcuterie boards that we would wolf down without ever stepping foot past the wraparound deck of our cabin. The scenery was beautiful, but we came here not to commune with nature but to escape the rat race that we went through in the office every week… if only I knew then how much I’d be wanting to escape this whole week soon.

"I call the bedroom downstairs!"

Not sure why I felt the need to yell that out since I’d always had the same bedroom, I went my way and Charlie headed to the smaller room behind the kitchen. As our resident chef, he liked to be able to sneak into the kitchen easily to cook breakfast so that we wouldn’t know to wake up until we smelled bacon.

Downstairs, there was a pool table in the open area, and a bedroom and bathroom tucked away around the corner. Outside, the hot tub was already bubbling away when I stepped onto the porch to check on it.

Back in the bedroom, I carefully placed my folded shirts in the first drawer of the small dresser, followed by underwear, and then shorts. Two pair of swim trunks got the last drawer. Chargers and books and melatonin went on the nightstand along with the water bottle that I would basically carry with me everywhere I went this week.

With everything unpacked, I threw my bags into the closet, and one landed with a thud. Going to check on it, I saw that the missing packing cube was still in the bag, and it was full. With no clue what it was, I unzipped hoping to not find old laundry, but I found something worse.

Jason and I had broken up about four months ago, and I had only just decided to open the apps again. We’d dated for almost two years, and he’d actually been in this bedroom last year with me. Unfortunately, the only sign of him now rested in this packing cube. We’d taken a trip up to New York right before he broke up with me, and I’d packed some sexy underwear to spice up the nights back in the hotel room. Apparently, I’d never unpacked them. Hiding them away back in my suitcase, I headed upstairs to follow the smell of whatever Charlie was cooking.

I was permitted to toss the salad and butter the rolls, but other than that, I just sat on one of the bar stools chatting with him before the rest of the guys got here. There were hugs and the clinking of beers being opened as they headed upstairs to unpack. Then, we were eating and laughing and playing cards badly before deciding that we’d head downstairs.

Rob wanted to finish the book that he’d been reading on the drive up, and the only tv was down there by the pool table. Two guys planted themselves on the couch, and me and Dennis played pool. Once I dramatically scratched with nothing left but the eight ball, I flung my cue stick to the ground and headed outside to sit with Rob for a bit and look at the lights twinkling in the town way below us.

He had two pages left, and I sat quietly until he was done.

“Ian, how are you doing?”

The question sounded innocent enough, but I knew that Rob actually wanted a real answer as he looked over at me intently. Rob and I had met in college and dated for a bit before both realizing that we’d rather be friends. That was normally the phrase that exes tossed at each other before never talking again, but we actually meant it. He was still just as close now as we were back then, and he was too in love with John for his fiancé to even begin to consider to be jealous.

“Honestly? I am so fucking horny.”

Rob burst into one of his peals of laughter that had his whole chest shaking until he calmed down.

“That is definitely not even close to what I thought you were going to say.”

“I finished crying weeks ago, and I already have him blocked after I saw the first picture of him with someone else, so I’m fine. I just haven’t felt anything but my hand in months, and I need a bit of excitement.”

“Is this the year we finally find a bar downtown instead of being homebodies?”

“Oh my gosh, no. I’m not having fun this week! I just want it soon once I get back home.”

Rob pulled out his phone now to scroll through whatever pictures he could find in his camera roll that included his single friends, and as I leaned over to see what options I had, both of us missed what was happening back inside.

---

“Fuck- I forgot my charger!”

“Where is it? I’m about to get another drink so I can grab it for you.”

Dennis just shook his head, “No, I mean I just realized that I left it at home.”

He propped up his pool cue against the table and headed into my room to find one. Seeing my bag in the closet, he pulled it open to see nothing but one zip-up case.

“Oh my god!”

“What is it?”

As he walked back into the room, John and Charlie waited on Dennis to spread everything across the pool table before saying anything.

“What kind of kinky shit is he expecting?”

John snuck over to the window to check that we didn’t plan on barging in as my sexy underwear was held up and examined.

“Are these mesh?”

“Do these even count as underwear?”

“I thought he only wore boxer briefs?”

“I don’t think these could ever be confused with boxer briefs,” Dennis said as he held up a pair of neon green briefs.

“Wait, hide them!”

John’s whisper cut across the basement as Dennis grabbed an armful and ran to hide them back in my bag again. He luckily saw my charger right behind him once he zipped the bag as quietly as he could and walked back into the room without me realizing that anything had happened.

When he asked to borrow it, I just nodded, not noticing that he was slightly out of breath.

“Hey guys, I’m going to grab a beer- anyone want one?”

All three men, and then Rob once John made eyes at him, said they’d love one, and I headed obliviously upstairs to give them to formulate a plan.

“Don’t worry- he’s not trying to ruin any friendships this week. Did you check the dresser?”

“What?”

Rob went into my room followed by the guys and opened each drawer.

“Ian unpacks, so if it’s still in the suitcase, then it means that he didn’t mean to bring it. I bet you his toothbrush is already in the cup in the bathroom.”

“It is…”

“Okay, well that ruins the fun a bit knowing that we can’t mess with him about it.”

“Who said we can’t mess with him?”

Rob had a grin on his face as the plan began to formulate in his mind, and he knew exactly what needed to be done. I was heading back downstairs again, so for the second time, the guys ran back into their places and looked innocent as I passed out beers and started grabbing popcorn out of the bowl I’d brought too.

“Okay Ian, let’s go- it’s our turn to play pool.”
