So I have to tell you all-- there is a LOT of stuff that happens before the Kizarasunga ever went to the Jaezian Empire. So much that it can't all really be told in flashback form within the existing comic without throwing off the momentum of the current arc. Most of it isn't even terribly necessary to the present story, but I still wanted to make it available.

I'm in the process of developing a side comic that follows younger Kizarasunga from the perspective of her adoptive father, along with his own dealings with enemy officers. We'll get to see some younger versions of Barzion, Khatilo, Zusufula, and of course Kizarasunga herself. By the way, the Zizumbira generally have very dark hair and olive skin, so Orago here mistakes Kezkaramki for being a member of his own army when they first meet. Why does Kezzy look like a Northerner? We'll find out!

This will also be an experiment in scrolling updates. Some pages will be made available on Tumblr and Deviantart for promotional purposes but only patrons will have access to the full thing. I haven't yet decided the general length or frequency of the updates, but I will keep you all posted!
