What To Expect: November 2022 +Notice Regarding Pirated Content

October was quite the roller coaster!

We cut it close, but we were able to produce not 8, but 10 comic pages within the span of 3 weeks, before Eli went on vacation! I've been uploading the remaining pages one at a time, so once they return on November 7th, we will pick up right where we left off. :)

I don't know when, or if, we will have a Halloween drawing ready, but if we do, you'll know when it's up. I also finally got around to finishing the beginning of ACES Chapter 3, so I just need to see if there are any potential revisions I need to do, as I start breaking the text down into sizes appropriate for pages. I'll probably start writing more for MB, later in the month or December at the latest, but for now, we wanna end the year strong! After all, we got the NSFW comics that are now getting to the good parts, and that's not including the Dorm Life content we have in store. ;)

Now, let's also talk about the giant elephant in the room, while we're on the subject of content: A couple weeks ago, I was informed that a website has pirated all of my Patreon content, and despite having a DMCA page where you could file a takedown notice, they don't actually listen to said complaints and gave some BS excuse that it's not "implemented yet" (Shocker! :/).

I know that some people are going to suggest I could try suing them, but what use would that be? Even if they weren't potentially running their own servers, you'd have to go through a long legal proceeding where you would probably be publicly doxxed, and any minuscule financial compensation you would get in the end would probably not be enough to cover the legal fees... So, whether I like it or not, I will have to live with this.

With that being said, I would like to speak to the people who are probably reading this post through these pirated websites:

First off, thanks for taking the time to read this post and not just picking out the stuff you want to see! I would be lying if I said I was never in a similar situation you are in, where I wanted to try something out before I invest my hard-earned money into something, whether you can do that legally or otherwise.

So, this leads me to the only request I have of you: If you're enjoying these comics, please consider supporting this Patreon!

I know that there are plenty of people who pirate content just to try them out, one day, and then on the next, they decide to chip in and support it because they enjoy it so much, regardless of whether it's a video game, or a movie, etc. I'm a firm believer that those people exist, since I've seen plenty of examples of that happening in the end, and I can only hope that some of you might do the same for Moonlit Brew/ACES.

As I've said in the past, every penny of this Patreon has gone straight to my artist, even when I fell short of breaking even at $400 and needed to put my own money into keeping this going, every month. If you are able to support us, I would greatly appreciate it as much as everyone else who has done so in the short and long term!

Once again, thank you for taking the time to read this far into this post that normally talks about what we are planning to do for the month. I might have to make minor adjustments in the future, but I won't go as far as making certain content print-only like another artist who has been going through similar troubles.

I'll see you guys next month!
