What To Expect: March 2022 (+ Big Announcement)

Before I begin, I would like to apologize for the lack of Moonlit Brew updates: Unfortunately, for reasons I still don't know about, my artist has been MIA for about a month, as of writing this post. I've sent emails and PMs on Discord, and I haven't heard back at all. 

In the past two months, I've only seen one sketch in late January (that I already posted, of course), and he was gone for most of December and January due to being sick with the flu, which he explained to me when he gave that sketch. 

I have not heard back from him, since then, and I am now put in a very uncomfortable situation where I'm forced to choose between waiting around longer, and risking my patrons backing out after finally getting close to where I want to be, or having to hire a new artist who will be more attentive and not be constantly busy with IRL things that might be going on with him (again, I have no idea what is going on).

Luckily, over the past couple weeks, I've developed a contingency plan, in case I don't hear back by March, and have to let him go: If anyone here is familiar with Jeopardy, when Alex Trebek passed away, they had various guest hosts take his place until they were able to find a new permanent one. 

This plan is sorta similar to that: Eli Valentine, the artist for ACES, is going to make some pages for Moonlit Brew/Moonlit Grind, at least for this coming month; in the meantime, I will also post a job listing on the DA forums to see if there are any potential artists who might want to work on MB. That being said, if the feedback with these pages are positive (and/or I'm not able to find another artist), I could consider having Eli the next permanent artist, and they would theoretically be considered my first full-time artist, working on both MB and ACES! 

For now, here are some test drawings they made of Lydia in human and werewolf form, which I've attached here; from the feedback I've received from these, on Discord, it's all been positive!

So, the current plan (that's subject to change, of course) is that I might have MB page updates uploaded publicly at the beginning of the week, while ACES updates would be at the end of the week. This is going to be a pretty experimental month, but hopefully, it will mean content updates will be back to normal if all goes well! We still want to do 2 ACES/2 ACESEXY and 2 MB/ 2 MG pages per month, so hopefully with this test, we will see if that could work out.

Anyways, MB pages will be the same as I was hoping for back in January/February (MB Chapter 6 Cover and Page 1, and MG Page 8 and either 8.5 or 9, depending on if Eli wants to give a more detailed scene, as well. ), while ACES Pages for this month will be Chapter 2 Pages 37 and 38, and ACESEXY Pages 13 and 14! 

This next month is going to be very interesting, to say the least. Hopefully it's going to be a good kind of interesting, for everyone (and myself)!
