Bill your sub on the 1st, or Bill on Anniversary of Sub? [Poll, Repeated]

Because the last time I did this poll was directly after Patreon implemented the ability to change billing dates, I want to gauge if opinions have changed since enough time has passed to experience billing changes with other creators.

The last time I did this poll it was a tie.

Q: Would you like me to continue to bill subscriptions on the 1st of each month, or on the anniversary of the date you subscribed?

Comments

Glad that I could help you with that. ^^ Also if I remember correctly, users can always edit their pledge mid-month to reset the pledging date to the current one so they don't even have to stop their support for even as little as a second.

This is a fantastic take Rid...I didn't consider this. I believe if I change the billing to "anniversary date", then existing patrons will still be charged on the 1st. If they were to unsub and then return later however, they would then be charged on the anniversary day of their resubbing. I'm going to scope this out further to make sure I'm interpreting things correctly, but despite the majority of folks preferring the first of the month, I'd very much like to offer the option for people to choose their billing date.

I mean... the second option basically allows the users to decide the billing day so that's actually far more user friendly. If someone wants to have the billing on the first of a month they can simply renew the subscription on the first. Which should probably be best for both sides. First option however kills the option for a better day for billing. For example for people like me who get paid at the 15th of the month. :p
