What To Expect (January 2021) + A Reflection of "That year".
Added 2020-12-31 04:20:11 +0000 UTCWhen I wrote at the end of 2019 that 2020 was going to be "The Year", I was meaning that I was going to finally be able to get stuff done, and be able to start doing things that I've wanted to do for the longest time. For obvious reasons, most of those plans could not come to fruition. In fact, so many things went wrong, that it became no less than a sucker punch to the jaw that would leave you having your mouth wired shut for weeks.
Some of these setbacks weren't even related to Covid (Sure, I lost a few patrons due to the virus leaving many people without jobs, but that was only the tip of the iceberg, for many of us.); For me, personally, my "highlights" were my dad having his gallbladder die on him, with the local hospital almost killing him for not knowing what they were doing, another person, (whom I won't specify) constantly telling me I'm wasting time with ACES, and a "friend" I had for 7 years, (and spent most of that time playing games I normally would have never played with,) suddenly cutting all ties with me over the pettiest of reasons.
That being said, I did manage to do some things that I had set out to do; both ACES and Moonlit Brew have legit copyrights, now, and I'm now working with someone who cares as much about the former as I do. And, despite all the setbacks we've had, this has been one of our more productive years in terms of getting new content out, with downtime only lasting a few weeks, at most!
I'm also thankful that no one in my immediate family has caught Covid (and hopefully it will stay that way), and for my dad being able to snag a PS5 for me, before any potential scalpers had the chance to take it. With all that said, I'm not going to say what I want to do in 2021, specifically, out of fear that I'll jinx it, and something catastrophic is going to happen again... but needless to say, the stuff I wanted to do in 2020, I am hoping I'll be able to do in the new year, and I can make up for lost time in more ways than one.
The first thing I want to do? Give you folks more pages, of course! Moonlit Brew will see Chapter 3 Page 22 get touched-up, and for ACES, Chapter 2 Pages 4-8 will be in production, as soon as Page 3 is finished, this week!
I hope everyone's holiday season was as safe and normal as it could be; I know mine was, for better or worse.
