Patron Sketch Commissions are taken via Google form only
Sketch commission slots prioritize Basic - Top tier patrons. If I don't have enough form submissions from those tiers, I will then open the form to Tip Jar tier patrons.
You can submit two different concepts with my form, if you're unsure about the first one.
Because you're agreeing to my TOS upon payment, I strongly recommend reading the remainder of my TOS, such as my turnaround times, revision policy, refund policy, and other important points that may affect your experience working with me. ----------------------------- Q: I want something more complicated/detailed than a sketch commission.
A: Currently I'm only offering Option #1 (sketch comics),Option #3 (Sketch illustrations), and Option #6 (Character Designs) . They can be colored and/or shaded, greyscale, blueline, or similar. Please check my Pricing sheet for examples.
----------------------------- Q: Why can I only send my commission form during a specific time? Why can't I use Email?
A: Having a controlled window allows me to plan my workflow while completing everyone's work in a timely manner.
I'm sticking to forms to make sure all fields are filled out completely - this helps both of us prevent mistakes. It also helps prevent people from scheduling an email to send at the exact minute that I open commissions. ----------------------------- Q: Are these FCFS (first-come-first-served) or will you pick/select? How do I know if I'll be picked? A: Right now, I'll be doing FCFS but with priority given to patrons that haven't yet had a chance to commission me. If I receive way more forms than I can realistically take on, I'll still prioritize those who haven't worked with me yet, but may choose based upon concept compatibility.
----------------------------- Q: Can I send a commission form if I've already commissioned you in the past?
A: This one really depends. Hypothetically, say you get a commission slot in May and you send another form when I re-open in December.
Considering I just worked with you, I'm going to try to prioritize patrons that haven't yet had a chance to commission me.
If all the forms I receive are also from patrons I've worked with before, then you'll be chosen again.
----------------------------- Q: How many patron sketch commissions do you plan to do each month? Why can't you take more?
A: When I open, I'll choose 2 - 4 forms. These commissions will be spread across a few months, completed at a rate of 1 or 2 per month (depending on workload).
Taking on any more than that at a time would compromise the service offered to those in my higher Commission Club tiers.
To make sure everyone's getting the best value for their continued support, I've chosen to limit how many patron sketch commissions I take.
----------------------------- Q:How will I know when you open, so I can be prepared?
A: Openings for Patron Sketch Commissions (going forward) will be announced in my monthly Newsletter. I will also post a heads up on my patron-only Telegram channel. ----------------------------- Q: Can I include a friend in my commission? What about one of your characters?
A: You're welcome to include friend/s in your commission as long as all parties have accurate visual references for me to work from. As outlined in my TOS, I no longer work from text description unless it is a character design commission.
If including friends, note that all communications, WIPS, and similar will go through you (the patron). As outlined in my TOS, it's up to you to distribute WIPs and collect feedback from your friends as appropriate.
My own characters may appear in your commission, but will still be charged as an additional character as outlined in my TOS. Because my characters have context, preferences, & personalities, some may not be suited to specific concepts. If you have a concept in mind with one of my own OCs, it can be helpful to check with me first via PM or squeakycommissions[at]gmail.
----------------------------- Q: I'm angry because I've pledged X-amount of money, and I still haven't been able to get a commission from you
A: I highly recommend that you DON'T subscribe if you're solely trying to grab a commission slot, as you may be disappointed.
Currently, Patron Sketch Commission slots will open as I have time, rather than according to a strictly set schedule. They're a single perk that comes with other perks in your subscription, such as HQ art, early access, etc.
Patreon pledges aren't intended to vouch as a guaranteed or pre-paid commission slot.
I don't guarantee slots for Patron Sketch Commissions, regardless of how upset one may be and/or how long they've been around, and/or how much they've pledged. If I offer that treatment to one person, I need to offer it to everyone else - it wouldn't be fair to others.
I'll do my best within what's possible with the time that I have, such as prioritizing commission forms from patrons I haven't worked with yet, and releasing YCHs with multiple slots, as I have time.
I understand some people will still be upset regardless, and that's unavoidable.
----------------------------- Q: It's not fair that you're pay-walling commission access. Why can't you be more accessible?
A:In the event that I have no patron commission form submissions, or not enough to fill my queue, I will accept commission forms from the public (non-patrons) via my public Telegram channel: https://t.me/squeakycommissions
Currently however, I'm focused on prioritizing patrons over non-patrons. To me, it makes the most sense to work with those already supporting my work with monthly pledges. What better way for me to say "thank you"?
I’d love to be able to work with everyone who has an inquiry, but I receive more inquiries than I have time to realistically complete within a timeframe that's comfortable & reasonable for both parties.
There are many of other artists in the community that are more accessible.
----------------------------- Q: I still have more questions!
A: Send me a Patreon PM (private message) or email me: squeakycommissions[at]gmail. Twitter DMs are unreliable and not a recommended form of contact.
