Update Log: 2022-05-04
I've mostly been trying to finish up on a lot of the WIP stuff so that I can hopefully get the new update out sooner rather than later. I give it another month or so at the most. I've also been playing around with more concept idea's which I'll talk about another time once I have more to show.
The test build has also been updated with the newest stuff, feel free to test!
Also, I'm feeling a bit better.
Bus To Nowhere 1.4.2 Changelog:
- The Optimization buttons now lock during events to keep stuff from breaking while swapping during events.
- New plushies no longer break machine.
- Virus now always appears, with the personalized value only determining where he spawns.
- I've composed a few short tracks for the world's various ending sequences. One of them can be listened to here.
- Two endings have been implemented: "Chaos Ending" and "Virus Ending"
- "Chaos Ending" is unlocked after getting the Chaos Statue from travelling 10000 miles. This is meant to be a team effort; so please don't try doing this alone for your own health. Once the statue is acquired, it can be taken to any Storybook to get the credits.
- "Virus Ending" is much easier, only requiring you to synchronize Virus and give it Administrative privileges to the bus using one of the new terminals in the Engine Room.
- There will likely be more "endings" before release.
- The credits for both endings still need to be updated with the new patrons.
- Puppet Arm now works against the new boss.
Oh, I guess I should talk about the new boss. I teased it a bit in my previous posts.
- It will be named the "Ancient Guardian", and yes, it is a Moyai.

- To summon Ancient Guardian, you must bring the Diamond Moyai to the new Ancient Biome (what a surprise!) and thud it on the roof. The battle will start after; and all players will be moved to the top of the bus (this part may be changed if it gets too annoying for testers)
- The fight is basically a bullet hell where you must protect the Diamond Moyai from it's attacks.
- If any attacks from the Ancient Guardian hit the Diamond Moyai, the battle will stop instantly. Players hit by any attacks will be flung into the air.
- The Puppet Arm can be found at the Campfire event and can be used during this fight to destroy attacks from the Diamond Moyai which gives players a huge advantage, as the fight gets increasingly more difficult as it progresses.
- For those wondering, this battle is inspired by Everhood; which is also where the music for this battle originates. The song used is 72 (Everhood Mix)
- To beat the battle, you must simply outlast the Ancient Guardians attacks. The boss currently has no rewards, except for the satisfaction that you defeated a giant Moyai statue.
