Hi, thank you for the video. I think about buying new vocal mic. I know that you recommend Lauten Clarion, but what about its self noise? In spec it's < 15, how to deal with that? I really hate noise gates because they impact on good harmonics too. Kinda need explanation with that.

The vocal performance is pushing pretty hard, and I get the feeling there is some proximity effect saturation going on? I record a lot of vocal and guitar on one mic like this, I think the way the guitar comes across, off-mic is great by the way. As a producer, how much did you talk about vocal mic technque with him? I am missing some of the motivation that inspired the choices in this. tell us more!
