And yeah, reverb on a master is awesome. If done very subtly, it kind of works like master bus compression in that it glues everything together.

I didn't think it sounded too saturated in context. Also, performance trumps everything, and your singer's performance was amazing. I actually prefer it to the way Hozier sings, tbh. That's a personal preference thing, but your version made me realize how amazing this song is. I just can't get past Hozier's pronunciation ticks. Your singer sounded more natural to me.
