(NSFW) Random muscle girl no more

One more post before the end of the month...

Remember this pic? She was the first of my "Random Muscle Girls"; whenever I wanted to draw a muscle woman but for whatever reason didn't want to draw one of my existing characters. (I have at least two RMGs; the one in this animation is a different one.)

Well... I'm trying to resist the impulse to "graduate" this RMG to "actual character" status. And failing miserably. This one seems to want to be a sword-and-sorcery-style warrior woman in the mold of Red Sonja or Red the Paladin. So I've given her a name: Iolæ (pronounced "yo-lay")

So this is the first "official" drawing I've of Iolæ... nude, of course.

The body hair just seems "right" for the character, somehow. Despite what you see in all those sword-and-sandal/"Hercules" movies of the 1960s, I don't think women shaved their underarms. So, if I do get serious about developing this character, she'll keep the hair. (It won't be as "copious" as in the first sketch, though.)

It's very possible - in fact, likely - that I won't do any comics stories about her. But I think I will be doing single illustrations, with descriptions that will hint at a larger story. (Much the way Pumpmonger used to post pictures of Red at his sadly-now-defunct DeviantArt site.)

My next drawing of Iolæ will be of her in her fighting garb, as soon as I figure out what that will look like.

And for those of you who don't care for the body hair...
