...and hey, I got it finished within the week after posting the preliminary sketch, just as I'd hoped! Yay me!
That post also contains the "backstory" on why I did this sketch in the first place.
I think I like the look of more-tightly penciled lines rather than inks on this piece; I might use this technique more often. What do you think? Should I use this method, or would you rather see inked lines?

I like the pencil lines here - but I don’t think you should stop using inks, either! A pleasant change from time to time?
