(NSFW) June Pic of the Month (already!)

(I say "already" because just yesterday when I posted the WIP screenshot I said I was going to try to get this pic finished by the weekend. But somehow I got "in the zone" last night and this morning, and managed to get this finished much sooner than I thought. Yay me!)

So here she is, friends an' neighbors, in all her radiant glory: hyper-muscular giantess Tetsuko locked in brutal battle with an equally hyper-sized octopus. The story behind this might go something like this (from the description I posted to the rough sketch I added to my DeviantArt scrapbook:)

The Garrison for Earth’s Defense Against Kaijuu (GEDAK)* investigates reports of destruction of coastal villages and resorts on a South Pacific island - destruction that the locals claim was caused by a giant octopus!

Sonya is part of the detail assigned to interview the locals and gather info; she reports that the eyewitnesses are certain that the creature is a giant octopus, not an “octopus-like” creature. “If that’s the case, and it's just a oversized octopus,” she tells Tetsuko, “your best bet to destroy the monster is to drag it out of the water and keep it from returning until it dries out and suffocates.”

“How long will that take?” Tetsuko asks.

“That will depend on how much larger this thing is than a normal octopus. It might take several hours.”

“Oh, wonderful,” replies Tetsuko, sarcastically. Already she’s dreading the idea of grappling with the octopus’ tentacles for “several hours”, struggling to keep it on land, even as the monster is determinedly trying to return to the water and even pull Tetsuko into the water to drown her.

Her fears turn out to be well-founded...

*not (yet) the final name for the organization with which Tetsuko and Sonya are affiliated; still mulling names and acronyms for it.

Exactly. That was the main problem I had with the rough sketch: nothing to show scale. The boat was actually my wife's idea.

Great job as usual. If I may, it'd be nice to have a clearer reference of her size. If it wasn't for the small boat on the bottom left there'd be no way to tell she's giant-sized.
