(NSFW) Something I think you might like to see...

...especially if you've been reading "Red the Paladin Against the Queen of the Star Monsters" (and waiting for me to post some new pages already!)

This pic - inspired by a scene from Hercules Against the Moon Men - led me to want to do a comic incorporating that scene. (The comic is also inspired by that movie.) But a few months ago, I began toying with the idea of doing the "spike peril" scene in animated form.

So I began sketching out storyboards to determine the "look" of the scene. Last night, I finished putting the storyboards together in an "animatic"; think of it as "filmed storyboards", a sort of preview of what the finished scene could look like.

The drawings are very rough and crude in spots, and there are captions to show dialogue because I didn't have vocal tracks, but there are a few spots of (very) limited animation, and overall I'm pleased with the result.

I don't know how much (if any) more work I'll do on this; after all, there's another animation I need to get back to work on...
