Chapter no.367 The God of Ice

[ POV Change ]
Giovanni stood behind his formidable Garchomp, his eyes scanning the battlefield in anticipation. The air crackled with energy, and the tension was palpable. But now, as Austin revealed his latest pokemon, a strange feeling of confusion and unease washed over Giovanni.
Before him stood Chansey, a pink and white creature with a gentle and innocent appearance. But as Giovanni looked into the pokemon's eyes, he could sense a darkness lurking within. The Chansey's grin was wide and malevolent, and Giovanni couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine.
He studied the Chansey carefully, trying to gauge its strength and abilities.
" Dragon Claw."
" Protocol Dragon !"
Giovanni ordered as Garchomp shot like a bullet, lunged towards Chansey. Garchomp's claws glow light green forming around each of Garchomp's fins turning them into a claw-like shape before attacking Chansey who released an ice beam at the land shark pokemon who dodged and slashed at Chansey sending the pink pokemon flying.
" ~ Snap ~ " Giovanni snapped his fingers as Garchomp lunged towards a calm Austin as Musharna's trick room glowed when a pink blurred formed in between Austin and Garchomp as Chansey appeared with a mocking grin even though she was deathly afraid of the lank shark pokemon.
Chansey used the move sing and released colored musical notes from its mouth when it sang. When the music notes hit Garchomp, it fell asleep yet Giovanni didn't panic as he had trained his Garchomp to immediately use the move Sleep talk when he was put to sleep in a battle.
Garchomp's fin oozed with poison as it jabbed into Chansey's body who gritted her teeth as her eyes glowed with psychic energy.
Giovanni frowned as he sensed the psychic energy coming off from Chansey yet nothing happened.
Garchomp suddenly woke up as Chansey used Soft-Boiled, healing her own wounds. Garchomp tries to attack her again, but Chansey countered with Double Team, creating multiple copies of herself as the land shark passed through her.
Garchomp growled and released a Dragon pulse as the clones as Chansey used Minimize, becoming smaller and more difficult to hit.
Giovanni frowned at this game of cat and mouse before he gazed upon his opponent, he couldn't sense any emotions of anger, frustration or happiness from his opponent that could give Giovanni an insight to his opponent's plan, it was as if everything was going according to some kind of plan.
Giovanni felt a chill down his spine as he took a deep breath and he found his breath visible. Giovanni turned to Cloyster and as if the pokemon was reading his trainer's mind, he shook his head.
Giovanni frowned as he turned to the battlefield as his Garchomp was rushing forward, its powerful legs propelling it towards its opponent with incredible speed as it left Chansey and target Austin.
But then, in an instant, everything changed. As Garchomp leaped into the air to deliver a devastating Dragon Rush attack, Austin spoke a single word: "Cryokinesis."
Suddenly, the air was filled with a burst of icy energy, and a thick mist of frost rose up around Garchomp. The powerful Dragon type was caught off guard, and as the dust cleared, Giovanni's heart sank. For there, in the center of the icy haze, was his beloved Garchomp, encased in a block of solid ice.
' How did this ?' Giovanni thought before he remembered that Chansey had fired off an ice beam and that psychic energy that did nothing.
'Don't Tell me, Chansey used that psychic energy to capture the ice type aura of her ice beam and manipulated it to lower the temperature of the atmosphere rapidly essentially making the water in the air into ice.'
Giovanni thought as he sensed it.
He was surrounded by pokemon emerging from the darkness of the forest.
Giovanni stood in the heart of the forest, surrounded by a sea of Pokémon on all sides. He watched with a sense of growing unease as Ninjask, Dragonair, Pidgeot, Fearow, Ivysaur, Wartortle, and Haunter approached him, their eyes blazing with an intense fury.
Giovanni knew that he was outnumbered, and he felt a sense of foreboding wash over him. He turned to his opponent, and spoke, "This is an unfair battle."
But Austin merely smiled and replied, "Life is unfair, Giovanni. We must all make our own way in the world."
" I guess that is true. Mrs Fuji, Have you ever been in the presence of a god?"
Giovanni chuckled at Austin's words and asked causing Austin to frown.
' What is he on about ?'
Austin thought as Giovanni continued, " They're larger than life, and twice as beautiful. And they always do what they want, because they can."
Giovanni reached into his pocket and withdrew a small, black mechanical Pokéball. Its surface was cold and smooth to the touch, and it pulsed with a dark energy.
As he threw the ball, a cold aura emanated from it, chilling the air around him. The aura spread out like a wave, enveloping the surrounding forest in an icy embrace.
Austin watched in amazement as a massive Articuno emerged from the ball, its body encased in futuristic body armor and a helmet. The Pokémon's eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intelligence.
With a commanding voice, Giovanni spoke to the Articuno, his words echoing through the frozen forest. "Blizzard!" he shouted, and the Articuno obeyed, unleashing a fierce storm of snow and ice upon their opponents.
The temperature of the entire forest dropped rapidly, and the air grew thick with ice crystals. The Pokémon around Giovanni were caught off guard, their movements slow and sluggish as they struggled to adapt to the sudden change in climate.
Giovanni watched as the Articuno unleashed its powerful attack, its wings flapping with an otherworldly grace. The Blizzard grew in strength with each passing moment, and soon the entire forest was encased in a massive glacier of ice.
As the last of the Pokémon were frozen in place, Giovanni let out a triumphant laugh as he gazed upon his opponent who had somehow survived as a Lucario stood before Giovanni and Austin who was on his knees.
" Well, looks like you lose." Giovanni exclaimed," Why don't you give up on this messily revenge and join my side ? I am sure, I can find a good place for someone of your caliber."
Giovanni's words were met with Austin raising his middle finger as he raised it to the sky.
"You're gonna eat lightnin' and you're gonna crap thunder!"

[ Omake Paragraph ]
The changing weather patterns are subject not only to many meteorological phenomena, but also the actions of countless pokemon from Hippopotas to the legendary Kyogre. More confusing still, the future as a whole is subject to billions of individuals who can alter it in countless tiny ways. And although some say gods and legends can foretell the future as easily as the past, it seems impossible that a mere evolution of Eevee could be capable of such perception.
And yet, unlike Xatu, consulted only in the narrow field of matters of state for Alph, an Espeon's fur grants them not only the power to predict the weather, but to foretell even the personal lives of people with surprising accuracy decades down the line. Indeed, so common is this belief that humans who can predict the future (or charlatans who claim this ability) are often called ESPers, a term which derives from Espeon.
An Espeon's future sight is a useful gift and a horrible curse. It is true that they can comfort some through knowledge of pleasant fates or improve their own life this way, and weather predictions make them prized among many. But it is also true that they must see in vivid detail the moment of their own deaths, and if they avoid one death a different one will surely show. Their ability to predict the weather is little better, for although rain and clear skies grow less perceptible as time goes on, an Espeon's fur shows them the moment billions of years away at which the sun boils the oceans even more clearly than it does tomorrow's storms.
There are very few people who realize that Espeon fur is not lavender, but bright green, for rare is the Espeon who allows their fur to grow at all.
