Chapter no.321 A Hachiko in the Pokémon world

[ POV Change ]
[ A Few days Ago ]
Verbena Hills is a small neighbourhood located in the eastern tip of Vermillion City, atop a green hill that faces the sea ahead.
Generally, the residences of Verbena are simple white houses surrounded by lush green gardens that evoke serenity and tranquility. One house, however, now stands out from the rest.
[ Yellow's POV ]
As I walked up the long, winding driveway, the grand mansion loomed before me, its stately facade seeming to whisper tales of a bygone era. The paint was peeling from the once-elegant columns, and the once-manicured gardens were overgrown and unkempt. I could see broken windows and missing tiles on the roof, and the once-imposing front doors hung crooked on their hinges.
Stepping inside, I was struck by the musty smell and the thick layer of dust covering every surface. Cobwebs clung to the ornate plasterwork, and the grand, sweeping staircase was missing several balusters. Sunlight streamed through the dirty windows, casting a pale, ghostly glow over the room.
Despite its current state of disrepair, I could still sense the grandeur and opulence that must have once graced this mansion. It was clear that this was a place with a rich history and a storied past, and I couldn't help but wonder about all the stories that these walls could tell.
" Chu!" Hearing the sounds of my buddy, I rubbed Pichu's small head before placing my hand on the old rusted mansion door.
Taking a deep breath, I channeled psychic energy similar to what all those books Ash had been read said as I pushed through and instantly the entire thing fell apart creating a cringing noise that could've woken up the entire neighbourhood.
I looked at Chu-Chu and she looked at me and I looked at her before we looked to see if anyone saw us.
Seeing no one, I slowly took a step forward before continuing my way towards the old abandoned mansion.
Suddenly feeling like someone was observing me, I looked up, then to my and then left and then down as my eyes felt heavy.
" Pi, Pichu !" Chu-Chu looked up from Yellow's pocket to see that the blonde girl had fallen asleep.
Rubbing her cheeks with her paws, Chu-Chu released a small shock waking Yellow right back up.
" Ahhh" Yellow shock her head and exclaimed," That was a great nap and now where were we ?"
Chu-Chu sweatdropped in response before pointing forward as Yellow bopped herself in the head before happily running towards the mansion.
As Yellow and Chu-Chu walked inside the mansion, they were immediately struck by the musty smell and the thick layer of dust that seemed to cover every surface. The grand, sweeping staircase was missing several balusters, and cobwebs clung to the ornate plasterwork. Sunlight streamed through the dirty windows, casting a pale, ghostly glow over the room.
They could sense the grandeur and opulence that must have once graced this mansion, but it was clear that it had fallen into disrepair. The paint was peeling from the once-elegant columns, and the once-manicured gardens were overgrown and unkempt. Broken windows and missing tiles on the roof were visible from the inside, and the once-imposing front doors hung crooked on their hinges.
Despite its current state of deterioration, the character was drawn to explore further, wondering about all the stories that the walls of this mansion could tell. They made their way through the creaky, old rooms, taking in the faded wallpaper and outdated fixtures, and marveling at the once-majestic architecture that now seemed to be slowly crumbling away.
As they walked through the abandoned mansion, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. The musty smell and thick layer of dust seemed to press in on them from all sides, and the creaky old floorboards seemed to groan under their feet.
Suddenly, they heard a low growl coming from one of the nearby rooms. Their heart raced as they realized they were not alone in this abandoned place. They hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do, but then their curiosity got the better of them and they cautiously made their way towards the source of the sound.
As they peered into the dimly lit room, they saw a pair of glowing eyes staring back at them. They froze, unsure if they should run or try to communicate with whatever was in the room. But before they could decide, the growling intensified and they could see the shadowy outline of a large, snarling animal.
" Chu-Chu, use flash !" Yellow screamed out as she saw the embers of flames emerging as the small electric mouse released a bright light that revealed a thin and malnourished Growlithe with a thick, matted coat and dull eyes. Its once-playful and energetic personality had been suppressed by loneliness and neglect, leaving it listless and lethargic. It had scars or injuries from scavenging for food or fighting off predators, and its paws were rough and calloused from wandering the abandoned halls of the mansion yet despite all of this, the Growlithe protected it's territory for the day it's master would return as it fired off an ember at Yellow and Chu-Chu.
With a heavy heart, Yellow released Kitty that swatted away the ember with her drills.
" Restrain him." Yellow said with a melancholic
look on her face
Seeing that look on her partner's face, Kitty decided to end this quickly as she seemingly disappeared and reappeared ontop of Growlithe, pinning him to the floor.
Yellow walked upto the struggling fire type as she examined the condition that years of neglect and abandonment had left it in, yet it stayed waiting for its owner to come back.
Yellow began to slowly brush the Growlithe's snout as she began to sing a small lullaby.
" Don't worry, soon you'll get reunited with your owner."

[ Omake Paragraph ]
When the battle was over, after all the blood it shed in the search for truth and freedom, Mewtwo made a solemn vow never to kill again and sealed itself within the Unknown Dungeon. Once the most powerful pokemon in Kanto if not the world, today it knows one damaging technique, a blade of psychic energy carefully controlled only to wound, which some say is reversed from a normal Psycho Cut's position.
Mewtwo's other techniques are strange ones, more mourning than attack or defense. At times it sends visions of the distant past to the opponent, doing nothing but strengthening its own resolve to survive. At other times, it tries to commune with its opponent, typically a vicious and powerful pokemon or a megalomaniac trainer, but does nothing but swap stat boosts and penalties regardless of need. Once it was found lying unconscious deep in the cave, beaten by a newborn Murkrow it was unable to damage in any way.
This is all established fact, while most wild pokemon of similar strength are still clouded in legend, for Mewtwo refuses to kill those it vanquishes in combat. At times, it even goes so far as the cave's entrance and gives directions back to the Pokemon Center; the defeated would typically prefer death to such a humbling.
Along with the usual crackpots, great trainers, and wild pokemon, at times Mewtwo is confronted by the loved ones of those it had killed in its rampage. It does not raise a tripod hand to its victims, allowing them instead to beat them to within an inch of its life, but it always recovers. It finds penance in this self-flagellation, but it is nothing of the sort. Perhaps someday, Mewtwo will finally begin to atone
