Chapter no.98 The Prodigy Zhu Mei

The Pill cultivation skills of an Alchemist did not exactly rely on one's powers. It didn't mean that if one's cultivation was high, their powers would be greater, thus their pill cultivation skills would be superior too.
Of course, some of the pill cultivation manuals required the cultivator to reach a certain standard first before they could be used.

Alchemists from all over the toxic forest gathered in the reverse pagoda as the final rounds of the Pill Competition was occuring .
On one side was a competitor unknown to all of the Toxic Forest as many of the clans in the toxic forest were trying to gain some kind of information on the mysterious female Alchemist dubbed by many as the Illusive Butterfly while on the other side was a female Alchemist that was well renowned throughout the entirety of the Toxic Forest " Zhu Mei " .
Zhu Mei , the Prodigy , called by many as the one who would lead the next generation of Alchemists glanced at her opponent as a small arrogant sneer formed on her face as she exclaimed towards the calm Yang Xin.



" You think some unknown like you is worthy of being my opponent . I will show you the difference between you and I "
The crowd all around erupted in cheers as to them this was a universal fact .
No one can be of Zhu Mei's equal as her natural talents were enough for the Chieftain to make her his apprentice .
Whispering into the ears of Yang Xin from the void was the Spiritual God of Darkness " Euronymous " as he informed her about her opponent .
Yang Xin whispered silently to Euronymous ," Euro , I want to know why is she in this competition if she is already the Chieftain's apprentice ."
Euronymous paused as he didn't have an answer to her Yang Xin's query .
" My apologies Miss Yang Xin but I don't know "
" It's alright Euro but can you find out why that is the case ? "
" Yes "
Yang Xin felt the void around her shift as the finals of the Alchemist Competition was begin .
A voice rang in the Reverse Pagoda , "Young Lary, it's better to be humble. You are still not perfect in your skills yet."
As the voice rang out, everyone discovered two elders walking down from the third level of the Reverse Pagoda. The leading one was a mature-looking elder with white hair. The aura of a Peak Legend rank couldn't be contained as one of most respected individuals in the toxic forest arrived as the judge of the final round , as who was better qualified to be the final judge then someone who had achieved the rank of an Alchemist Grandmaster .
Gu Yuan smiled as everyone in the reverse pagoda bowed towards him in respect along with Yang Xin who knew better then to offend someone who will decided the result of this competition .
And the other person was wearing a robe that was embroidered with auspicious clouds. He was also an elder bursting with an aura of a Legend rank and he was the patriarch of the Red Void Flame Clan .
Zhu Mei looked at the Gu Yuan and was embarrassed. She could not help but lower her head.
The Elder looked at Zhu Mei and did not say anything much. He turned towards the other direction on the second level of the Reverse Pagoda , "Little Xiao Yan, I shall let you guide your own disciple."
Everyone was shocked and turned to look over, but they still felt that no one was there.
In the next moment, Xiao Yan and Xiao Zhener's figure surfaced in front of them.
It's not that they did not exist previously, but it's just that under the influence of Xiao Yan's demon spirit, no one could sense their presence. At the same time, when they look, they might miss them out subconsciously.
Xiao Yan looked at the Gu Yuan and revealed a cold smile on his face.
" Elder Gu while Zhu Mei's words may seem arrogant she does have the capabilities to back up her claims ." Xiao Yan laughed as he shook his head .
Gu Yuan sighed as he remembered the words of the Chieftain that they should guide Zhu Mei until she finds Zhu Mei to be qualified to be her direct disciple .
Each one of the Alchemist Grandmasters passed on someone their teachings to Zhu Mei but it has only resulted in her getting more and more arrogant . Xiao Yan had taken the responsibility to teach the young prodigy about humility but it looks like he has failed .
Gu Yuan raised his hands into the air as the entire pagoda had gone silent .
" ALCHEMISTS ! Show me your skills formed from your hard work and talent . Let the final round , Commence !!! "
Zhu Mei and Yang Xin both immediately went into action as the heat from the Zhu Mei's Yin Yang hell fire could be felt throughout the reverse pagoda .
Many gazed at awe in the beauty of Zhu Mei's flames while to the others it just looked like Yang Xin who was just crushing and grinding herbs .
Gu Yuan smiled at the two finalists . As a Grandmaster he could see the skills of both Zhu Mei and Yang Xin . Gu Yuan paused at Yang Xin as he thought :
' Where did you come from ; to have such natural skills with a such a profound rhythm . It was as if you had practiced with these 500 year old herbs a 1000 times . '
Gu Yuan noticed that his colleague Xiao Yan had disappeared . Believing that Xiao Yan is again using his shadow devil's void abilities , he just shrugged .
But inside the void was another story as Xiao Yan looked at Euronymous in absolute fear .
" I need some answers . Would you be so kind enough to help me with my queries ? " Euronymous exclaimed as the Law of Darkness enveloped Xiao Yan .
