Chapter no.6 The Mysterious Entity

[ Isaac's POV ]

Only the sounds of my feet hitting on the stone platforms could be heard throughout this eriee silent pathway .
In my single hand was a dagger since if a used my gun in such an enclosed area I would most likely ruptured my eardrums .
Using my flashlight I carefully observed my surroundings even though I was wearing armour .
Each step I took , I saw drawings on the walls depicting some kind of ritual or something similar as the drawings were of some kind of circle with eyes being the center of a crowd of people know towing to it .
There were similar rune like scribbles all around the walls of the pathway.
I stopped dead in my tracks as soon as I saw it as I used the flashlight to see it fully . From one side of the wall to another a huge arc of runes and scribbles decorating the pathway .
Taking out a rock I threw it , to see if there were any traps infront of me .
A few minutes later , I sighed as it looked like that trap was not time delayed .
Taking out a few maggots , I threw them through the arc.
Only to see nothing had happened to the maggots and the arc of runes had not done anything even when a living being crossed it . Filled with a little bit of confidence , I took my steps forward through the arc .
[ POV Change ]
Deep within the mountain Isaac was traversing through lied a hidden chamber . The atmosphere of the chamber felt as though time stood still.
Suddenly a eye opened as a voice could be heard throughout the hidden chamber .
" Looks like the heavens also what's this king to rule over this world ."
What Isaac didn't know was that the inscription array he had just crossed was working just fine as the entity trapped within the devil's forest became aware of Isaac's presence .
Isaac smoothly continued through the pathway as he failed to spot scratch marks hidden within the edges of the walls . Even if he did spot them , to the eyes of Isaac they looked no different then some cracks formed over a period of time .
Isaac stopped in his tracks are he felt something behind him ..... no it felt more like someone was watching him .
Raising the dagger , Isaac took a deep breath as he was ready for trouble to come .
( ~ Crack ~ )
The sounds of cracking immediately caused him to twist his body where he saw something straight of out marvel movie .
A pearl like object floated in the middle of the pathway as dust began float up as if it was held be invisible strings .
Isaac couldn't help but look in shock and awe as all the dust swirled around the pearl like object.
Immediately snapping out of his stupor , Isaac took out his flare gun as he aimed and fired directly at the pearl .
Just as the flare whizzed it's way towards the pearl , Isaac took out a shield and hid behind it with his back to the side of the shield .
The Mysterious Entity in the hidden chamber looked at Isaac in interest as the flare was just inches before the pearl .
( ~ Boom ~ )
The Swirling dust and air created the perfect conditions for a dust explosion .
A absolute silence enveloped the pathway as only the sounds of someone coughing could be heard .
Inside the hidden chamber the mysterious entity was shocked .
What did that mortal do ?
For thousands of years , ever since any human came into this place he would do the same of routine where he would send out a puppet that would completely overwhelm the human and then save him . Like all humans , a hidden traces of greed would develop in their heart as they would try to gain his favour and that's where the fun would begin.
But for the first time ever he saw someone , not just a human actually taken the initiative to attack while a special phenomena is occurring infront of them .
But ....
[ Isaac's POV ]

Waving my hands to disperse the cloud of smoke , I couldn't help but shine my flashlight forward to see what that pearl like object was .
Was this thing like some kind of protector or guard to the treasure or something ?
The smoke slowly dispersed as I saw it .
A humanoid stone golem like being ?
This thing reminded me of well the thing from the fantastic 4 just it's colour was more stone like along with those comically sized shoulder pads or something .

Taking a deep breath I stopped my inner marvel fan which could be considered a bad idea since a realization immediately hit .
Infront of him was an actual stone golem that had the durability to survive a dust explosion .
Immediately taking out my gun , I readied myself for the golem to act in any way . The fear of this thing overwhelmed my sense of reasoning into using a gun inside a closed chamber.
One of holes in it's skull glowed purple as the puppet disappeared from my vision .
Suddenly before my mind could even register anything , the golem swung it's massive fist at my stomach .
( ~ Thud ~ )
The impact of the Golem's fists and my armour could be heard throughout the pathway as my body was flung through the air .
Landing on my back I tried to play knocked out .
( ~ Thud ~ )
Each step the golem took , carried a sense of power that no one from Earth would ever know . With the mysterious entity smiling amusingly at the mortal man's play .
A few inches closer to Isaac , a thunderous sound rang through the room as only the sounds of cracking could be heard .
The mysterious entity raised an eyebrow at the mortal's weird weapon . With the golem having a hole on the top of it's skull . It was absolutely fine as it was just a puppet that the mysterious entity was using to make Isaac feeling an extreme sense of despair .

Like the call of a lion , Isaac pounced from the ground up as he swung the axe he could use towards the neck of the golem .
But the moment his axe struck the golem a feeling of vertigo hit him . His eardrums were extremely damaged judging from the drops of blood flowing down from his ears but Isaac continued to push the weapon into the golem with everything his body had .
Adrenaline pumped through the body of Isaac as his strength began to leave his body with a layer of ice being to form on the neck of the golem .
The body of the golem began to crack as both the heat from the dust explosion and the freezing temperature of the ice axe were too much .

Seeing the breaking down of the head of the golem , Isaac's consciousness was swallowed by the darkness .
Inside the hidden chambers , the mysterious entity smirked with only one exclamation ," Amusing !"
