When I was at Texas A&M, sometime around 2008-2009 I saw George Bush Sr. present Chuck Norris with some sort of leadership award. They were both really excited -- it was corny and endearing.

His work on Law and Order SVU is kinda odd. Even by SVU standards.

They gave her a nice....honeymoooooooon.
(Also remember, Felix is in a hospital bed because A SHARK BIT HIS LEGS OFF while being tortured by the bad guys. License is a weird mix of "We gotta compete with tougher, meaner 80's action movies so let's go hardcore every couple of minutes" and also Cubby Broccoli still wanting dumb, broad comedy in there. )

Top three Elliott Gould movies: The Long Goodbye, Little Murders, The Silent Partner. Not to mention MASH, California Split, and A Bridge Too Far. He's got to have one of the best 1970s resumés.

License to Kill is a crazy movie. There is a scene toward the end where its version of Felix Leiter is in a hospital bed after his wife (Priscilla Barnes) had been RAPED AND MURDERED yukking it up with Bond on the phone

The New Kids is a nice surprise. James Spader as a cartoonish 80s villain, and a story about the childhood fear of being sent to live with your weird southern relatives after you’re suddenly orphaned.

Yeah. It kinda happens again. And again. But it's all part of the big picture. You don't need to watch. Just listen for the dust.

Oooff I tried watching High Plains Drifter once and couldn’t get past the opening. What an absolute vile way to introduce your protagonist. I’m probably not gonna revisit it, that shit is not for me.

Very excited for these especially the new kids but every time they announce I keep hoping for Ms. 45. And also deep down for Biggles: adventure in time which I doubt they ever do but Its weird and the main dude looks so much like Ben. Plus I want Celebrity Dinners to be in ABZ canon.

I always assumed that if we got another Bond movie, it would be Licensed to Kill. Drug dealer villains, violence, straightforward revenge plot, seemed like the most ABZ option. Shocked to see the other Dalton Bond instead.

He didn't really get a fair shake. Dalton was delivering the same cold, intense attitude that people feted Daniel Craig for two decades later.

High Plains Drifter - Rental Only
The Living Daylights - Prime Video
The Silent Partner - Kanopy, allegedly (I have accounts with three local library systems and none of them EVER work for good stuff on Kanopy)
The New Kids - Rental Only
First Blood - Paramount Plus/Showtime; Pluto TV (with ads)
