Hell yeah

Will See

After watching this goofy movie and listening to the Boyz, I wonder if any of them has seen the absolute classic "Lady In A Cage" from 1964, which features Caan's first major role in a film. It is a very strange horror/home invasion/social commentary film that really holds up considering its age. Caan is extremely menacing in it. Well worth a look, and maybe a Wolf...of the shadow kind...

That boat graveyard looked more like a boat mausoleum to me, but I’m no boat mortician so who knows.

Action Faction, if you're not watching the World Cup, Uruguay has a player called Valverde. Now you have a team to root for.

“I’m Chris Evans presents The Gray Man.” “I’m Dwayne The Rock Johnson featuring Black Adam.” “I’m Cate Blanchett for Tar.”

To add to to the meta-diecussion, doesn't Caan say something like "no, were not doing subtitles here" when someone was speaking Japanese early in the movie?

Stanger is dreamy.

John Blood

I did! Seems like something Stanger would have noticed.

All the sauna stuff they mention is true! The commentary is w three film historians and one of them was on set for part of it. Another thing they said was it was supposed to be Duvalls character who takes the shot from the roof at the airport but Duvall is afraid of heights and wouldn’t go up there so they rewrote it

I'm Lester Holt

Did anyone else see the Flasher in the airport?? Dude opened his coat to the cop and walked in

What I tell folks about the Action Boyz: “It’s a good show. It’s not a great show, but it’s a good show.” 😏

On an episode of The Tobolowsky Files, he tells a story about meeting James Caan. They were in a van, on the way to set, for an early morning shoot. Tobolowsky introduced himself by saying how big a fan he was of his work and that he knows Caan must hear this all the time but he wanted to tell him about one of his favorite scenes of Caan's. He said Caan looked nonplussed, that he was probably thinking he was going to mention The Godfather. But when Tobolowsky describes how great he thought the sequence of Caan going from room to room inside the house, with his gun drawn, at the end of Thief, he says Caan got a big smile on his face and turned to him and said Yeah, that was a lot of fun.

I know it’s lame and rote to talk about how dreamy the boyz are, but last night in my dream, I was listening to the podcast and they said, “Jon Polito’s face is made of clay.” Does this feel accurate to the real boyz? I couldn’t concentrate too much on listening at the time because I was fighting the world’s smallest MAGA supporter in an alley. Pleasant dreams!
