Duel to the Death (1983)

Bye bye Ninjavember or Novinja if you’re nasty. We are closing things out with some real ninja action in DUEL TO THE DEATH. This movie truly has everything you could ask for except for a highly intelligent, talking Sulfur-crested Cockatoo named Dragon. What a minute…this movie DOES have everything.

Hell yeah

I used to bounce at a bar with bottle service and one bottle went for 4500. Dollars. Fml

I came on here to make sure someone mentioned this!

Being the best out of a bunch of shitty options means it’s my time to shine baby! You gotta embrace that janitor mindset

My go-to is a cathartic realization that I'm about to spend 6 hours with the most basic of "creative" people and I pack up and go home

See you on the other side Gorgon

Hard To Gwil

I appreciated that Elaine may quote “when all else fails, seduce” because that is my go-to d&d move when no one else is doing anything. What if I tried to fuck the antagonist?

Am I the only one who finds multiple posts from the same patron in the comments to be super weird?

Maybe Rodgers already knows this, but Ray Jardine is pretty much the ultralight hiking guru. He is the reason you see a lot of thru-hikers on the AT and PCT using empty Poland Spring bottles for water. His Trail Life is a classic. Very anti consumerist though—rather than buy something new, he’ll say to rip off all the useless parts of a pack, windbreaker, etc.

My brain was on fire during this movie and I couldn’t figure out why till I realized that the soundtrack is used by RZA as the opening sample for the Wu-Tang Clan’s “Triumph” (this is very obvious, I’m just slow). Great movie, great ep.

Worth it!

Also it looks like dog food.

Cracklin' Oat Bran is maybe the most insane cereal on the shelf; 8g fat and 16g sugar per 56g serving. Realizing that it was marketed as "healthy" breakfast food in the 80's and how that was just taken as fact was an eye-opener for me.

For those that don't live in Los Angeles and want a taste of the insanity. My friend was at Erewhon right before thanksgiving and they were selling a store brand/in house organic cranberry sauce that was 12 ounces for 30 dollars. 30 DOLLARS!

Man, I had a great fucking time watching this movie. Stellar pick ABZ, thank you

So this is both sugar baby and town scandal all in one. This girl from HS recently was bragging about being a sugar baby. As she gave the details of her arrangement she mentioned she fucks him. So that's just a full service sex worker. And the pay wasn't even that good. She was dumb in HS too.

Megan

That looks awesome. Gonna see if I can make it

Awesome action movie, fun episode. "He's really into Jesus" - Sly. Haha I'm pumped to see New York Ninja at Music Box Theater in January. Vinegar Syndrome bought the unedited 35mm negative prints and turned it into a movie, even though the film was abandoned in 1984 during production. If there's any Chicago Ninja freaks in the chat, get yourself a ticket. 2 midnight shows then a Sunday show at a reasonable time.

Man, when Stallone appeared and they couldn’t even start the bit - A+ moment
