I've spent the past few weeks over Christmas working on this, and it’s been such a cozy and nostalgic experience. Picture this: rewatching The Lord of the Rings while snow fell softly outside—it was a perfect 10/10 vibe. Winter always makes me nostalgic for LOTR; it’s pure childhood magic for me.
When the new box set was released, I saw all the Dunland models and immediately knew what I wanted to create with them:
The scene where Saruman rallies the Dunlendings with 'The horsemen took your lands. They drove your people into the hills to scratch a living off rocks.' is such a powerful moment.
Since everyone in that scene is standing, I had to convert almost every model from the new box into a standing pose to capture the vibe. It’s been a fun challenge! Here are some previews of the work so far—stay tuned for the full diorama in the next few days.
