An Unexpected Occurence

So my GPU (graphics processing unit, pictured above) decided to give up on me this morning (13th July 2022) though at the time it occured, I didn't know that. Just my computer suddenly turned itself off and refused to turn back on again.
Fortunately, most modern CPUs (central-processing units) have GPU-esque capabilities in them, not like the old days when the graphics card was a wholly seperate entity. So whilst I won't be able to play video games or do anything too graphically demanding, I'll still have the basic display functions for desktop functions and things.
I'm rather hoping I can continue working this way whilst the GPU situation gets sorted. Hence my cautiously quicking journalling this whilst I'm able to.
But yes, my sincerest apologies in advance if it seems like I've dropped off the face of planet before my long weekend away from home. Not a voluntarily-made decision, I assure you.
