Took me a while for me to composite this page, but I hope the wait was worth it. Teeny bit more worldbuilding and character insight. But we'll get to the good stuff soon. Enjoy, and thank you so much for continuing to support this series.
TL Notes:
- Shishō: 師匠 coach, but specifically the person who runs the sumo stable.
- Ishamel: The book Saruto is reading is one of my favourite philosophical novels; the story follows an unnamed protagonist’s encounters with a telepathic gorilla.
- Trevénant Convention: Pronounced “Tree-vuh-nant”, it’s a portmanteau of the Geneva Convention, an important human rights and international law document and this tree monster. Kuroki casually mentioned it in Part 48.
- Blorbs: A portmanteau of an important plot point of the Sun and Moon video games and a fictional ailment that inflates its victims in this video game.
- Pokérri Jet: Spoofing the Japanese sports drink brand, Pocari Sweat.
- No Running in the Hospital: My strange sense of humour manifests once more for this page's title. It’s in reference to this. The one doing the yelling is a portmanteau of this creature and this red panda that at the time of posting, had a fourth season coming up.
