Whether you’re a recent patron (thank you for choosing to subscribe to me!) or a veteran for years (seriously, thank you for building me up to where I am today, especially those of you on the higher tiers), I truly am in your debt.
Thank you so much for affording me this artist career, as precarious as it is. I’m very privileged indeed to be still doing this after four years.
As things stand with that ailment going on in the world right now, I write today’s journal for two reasons:
1) Given the significant impact it has had on economies worldwide, I don’t blame anyone for rescinding their pledge (after this payment cycle) if their livelihood has been adversely affected. We all have financial commitments to adhere to, and given I’m a luxury item (in the sense that I don’t really provide a beneficial service like your household utilities), t’is better to prioritise what is really important right now, especially given the financial uncertainty.
2) At the time of writing this, my posts will continue to appear as normal next month. Granted, I’ve been way slower than normal because I’ve been jumping between producing content here and my commissions. But I’m otherwise, I’m OK for the time being. I’m a bit of a hermit anyway, so the self-isolating thing comes second-nature to me.
Anyway, that’s all I wanted to say. We all know what the score is, so I shan’t bang on ad nauseam – stay safe, stay sane. And thank you again for everything on here.
