- added ghast texture & model (3)
- added blaze texture & model (3)
- added wolf texture & model and random variants (3)
- added random variants to: creeper, spider, cave_spider, squid, glow_squid (3)
- added custom animation to: chicken, pig, sheep, cow, wolf, creeper, zombie, husk, drowned, giant, skeleton, stray, wither_skeleton, enderman (3)
- added LabPBR emissive support to several items (4)
- made ice slightly more transparent (1)
- moved all secondary connected texture sets from basic to addon pack (1,2)
- removed custom emissive workaround for seus ptgi shader (1)
- various changes and fixes (1,2,3,5)

*(1)=basic (2)=addon (3)=mobs (4)=items (5)=models

I've commissioned the creator of Fresh Animations pack - FreshLX - to incorporate his custom mob animations into my mobs pack with some tweaks to fit my models. Only some mob animations are added for now, and more are planned to be added in the future. To see the custom animations your best bet would be installing optifine or optifabric, because currently a lot of the custom entity models and animations are broken with other fabric-based alternative mods.

After months of playing with my own pack, I've noticed the random secondary repeat textureset method used for a ton of block textures weren't really adding much to the overall visuals. So I moved them all from basic pack over to addon pack, reducing ~4.2k textures in the basic pack. This should make the basic pack slightly easier to run on its own, and those who wants the additional random/repeat textures could just use the addon pack. The various chiseled block connected texture features are also moved to the addon pack. Redownload both basic and addon pack for this change to work properly.

I've removed workaround for getting masked emissive to work with SEUS PTGI shaders, reducing 108x3 textures but also means glowing ores/jack-o-lantern/redstone-lamp will look worse with SEUS PTGI. I've also removed the custom block properties files in the download to go with this new direction I'm taking: Instead of adding custom support for each specific shaders, I'll just support common shader formats/features.

Moved the rp test map mobs display area farther away to reduce lag, and made changes to various builds.

I'll start working on the new blocks/items in 1.19 when it fully releases and has optifine and shaders working properly.

You can download the pack here (works with any 1.18 versions):

https://www.patreon.com/posts/update-48-68543115

Click on the files inside the folders individually to download them

The "basic" pack need to be loaded at the bottom (just above default pack), and the optional packs can be loaded on top in any order.

The extra grass in the "models" pack works best with shaders with LabPBR SSS texture compatibilities and feature enabled, or SEUS PTGI HRR and "Smooth Lighting" option disabled. Otherwise I don't recommend using it.

Please check the included "features list" text file inside each optional pack to see detail descriptions of what they add, or how to remove unwanted features in the "models" pack.

!! Don't try the 256x versions unless you have >48GB of RAM+VRAM !!

For Optifine users, make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures/models will get messed up:

For Fabric/Iris-based mods users, please link your discord account to patreon and join my patron discord server to check the up-to-date mod list or get help on these matters.

It’s so cute it makes my heart burst

RandomPerson

great work

Tymek Stefański

An update: There is no difference in FPS whether using x256 or x32 while using SEUS PTGI shaders. I assume that, like texture settings in a lot of games, things aren't harder to run, but just uses more memory.

Aden

Going to try SEUS PTGI and the 256x pack on a 2070 super. Very doubtful of it working, the 8GB of Vram is probably just not enough.

Aden

@Jackson Very much doubtful I have an rtx 3080, the r9 5900x zen 3 cpu, 64gb of ram at 3600 speed and I struggle with this texture pack. Fabric/Iris definitely helps make this run better tho if you want extra FPS and smooth. But anyways with my setup I can get it to work with decent about 60fps with the AQM3 modpack the complimentary shaders and the 128x set with all the addons. This is with optifine/forge tho if I use iris/fabric the fps is better overall when using other modpacks and suck in general.

Endless Pixels

It does need that much memory if the connected textures are actually working, which I doubt it is for you.

patrix

BRO I GOT 16 GIGS OF RAM AND JUST LOADED THE 256x VERSION ON HYPIXEL SKYBLOCK AND I GOT 85 FPS WTH?!?!?! I THOUGHT YOU NEEDED 48 GIGS OF RAM LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

Jackson

Can anyone recommend suitable shaders that will work with this pack and my graphics card. I have a Nvidia Geforce 1650 Supper 4gb vram, with solid state storage and 16 gb ram. Currently using BSL shaders, but looking for other alternatives that look good that will not bust my computer. I cannot afford to upgrade, the grphics card are too overpriced.

Jordan Martell

I had to rip the textures from 1.17 version of the pack and put it into the newest update just for it to work

John Heiselman

No they arent

John Heiselman

they are available in his discord in the pinned messages in the general tab

VoidBite

If you've read the instructions and have Custom Colours on for Optifine, then I dunno, but If you're using Fabric/Sodium, you'll need Continuity/Indium/Colormatic

Scott Hunter

Hello! So, I currently use Complementary Shaders with your pack because it's absolutely stunning. I noticed your bugs post and followed through with your instructions about turning on Custom Colors for all white placement issues. Problem is, even tho I've done that... the concrete/wool is still coming out white. Would you happen to know why this would be an issue?

DOMO

love it. but can there be an optional download or fix for the ores for seus ptgi please. i really appreciate all your work. i just really miss those emissive ores already

John Heiselman

Ditto Patrix recommendation for TexturManufaktur. Has BoP and (among others) some awesome Quark textures that match ~ perfectly, including leaves on blossom trees.

DaddyChezBugga

But Patrix, If you don’t know a way to fix that do you know if I can remove that biome off the mod completely with a modded tool?

Elian Mejia

The only issue with any biome mod I’ve installed is the leafs on the trees don’t register with the same foliage your pack has. I even tried downloading foliage Renewed to compensate, it didn’t work, the wood still had your texture however the colored leafs or green leafs wouldn’t change , they stay in vanilla texture , I don’t really mind the basic wood texture but the leafs on the trees is the only issue

Elian Mejia

The grass/ferns/leaves should already work with any datapack/modded custom biome tints. As for modded block textures like those in BoP, you could check out some fan-made ones here: https://www.patreon.com/TexturManufaktur I'm not going to add modded block support to my pack, it's mainly focused on vanilla content.

patrix

Hi , Patrix, I love your pack and I was wondering if your going to make it compatible with any biome mods, I’d love to use it with , biomes o plenty, biomes you go, terralith, or even anything close to any new generated biomes. It would look gorgeous!

Elian Mejia

I had a very old 1.18 optifine installed. After updating to thelatest 1.18 optifine version everything works as it should.

kevin grootherder

do you have optifine or optifabric installed?

patrix

For some reason the heads of zombies do not show, as do certain other parts of other mobs. Like the skeleton has no head, legs and arms. I've double checked all the settings, and set them as you suggested, but to no avail.

kevin grootherder

WOW

DJ olivier

Awesome work, that Ghast looks like the thing nightmares are made of!

Sparky Trent

Great work as always. Thank you
