Smol Update 11

- added kelp texture
- added seagrass texture + model
- added all coral block textures
- added basalt rock for normal stone in mushroom island biomes
- added daylight detector texture and inverted variants
- added all concrete powder textures
- added bamboo shoot texture
- added allium texture
- added slime block texture
- added flame particle texture
- changed furnace texture to animated

Actually modeled out the kelp and seagrass just to bake them into textures because I can't find good enough stock pics/materials on the web. Didn't animate them tho since the amount of textures and their size would be way too much.

Added the basalt rock texture for fun because I love those kind of rock formations, and they actually go quite well with mushroom island biomes, giving them a very alien planet look. Might change or remove in the future.

how do i get the free pack

Ayoub

Yup, that's probably the reason. I'm using 1080x1200 resolution, with all cranked up in PTGI I get around 30fps, but probably lack of VRAM causes stuttering every 2s or so. Even so, this resource pack is amazing! It deserves much more attention!

Thanks! I'm actually using a 1080ti, getting around 40 fps on a 1080p monitor oh and I think the total screen res also matters, since I got someone with a 2080ti using four 4k monitors crashing with the 256x version still haven't really pinpoint the reason for crashing games except maybe not having enough vram

patrix

Yup, but if even your 2080Ti is being eaten away with this 256x pack, then I would have to get either Radeon VII with 16GB of VRAM, or absurdly expensive Quadro card :) Either way, I'll try to find a way to use 256x pack or drop to 128x, cause it's marvelous! :)

Martin Hill

that's the price for using so much ctm/random textures sadly :(

patrix

Yeah that sounds about right I allocated 3gb to minecraft, and when my game's running it shows using ~16gb in the task manager, including pretty much all my 11gb vram. I personally unzipped the 256x resourcepack and have minecraft use it straight from a folder, also updated my gpu driver. It helped with my stuttering/crashing before, but some people also reported it doesn't help either. So I can't really make any suggestions besides upgrading your gpu or use the 128x version.

It really looks incredible! I'd like to ask though, how are the memory requirements for the 256x pack? Cause after turning it on, Minecraft takes around 17GB of RAM (of my 64GB) and whole 8GB (of 8GB) of VRAM, causing stuttering :) All this using PTGI E10-14 with RTX 2080. 128x pack is fine though - eats less VRAM.

Martin Hill

It looks amazing!
