Bonus Pinup--Ally

Meet Ally (pronounced "Allie").  Ally is a brave young woman who's been working undercover for three years at Aegis, a company she suspects is responsible for creating the mutant creatures who are attacking the city with increasing frequency.  When Ally is finally ready to deliver proof to the authorities, she is caught up in another attack.  The vial containing her hard-won evidence shatters, the substance inside spills on her and... well, given the general themes explored here, you probably can make a reasonably accurate guess about what happens next.

Ally is the star of a Patreon account I've been curious about for a little while now and finally checked out this week, Savage Jade .  If you haven't heard of it or have but have been reluctant to pull the trigger, I highly encourage you to give it a try if you can.  In addition to an ongoing comic telling the tale of Ally and her alter ego, the Savage Jade,  you'll find comics featuring other characters struggling with a savage side, including a couple of "What if" scenarios starring the female lead of a certain cartoon from 1982, and another scientist named Dina who finds herself in a familiar situation involving a rainstorm and a flat tire.  Oh, and if you're familiar with the work of one SHFan, you'll find homages that as well!

What really sets this Patreon apart from the others, however, is the so-called "Immersive Experience."  Working with a pair of talented voice actors, the sole creator has turned most of the comics into a motion comic style video complete with dialogue, sound effects, and music.  In my opinion, the voice acting is spot on, and the way the sound effects are synced with the action in the comic makes these not to be missed.  Obviously it inspired me--because after taking it all in I had to draw this pinup right away.

It originally required a pledge of $20 to access the Immersive Access content, but recently the tiers were changed so the $10 pledges can access the last three installments.  ($20 gets you access to the full library.)  There's also a $5 tier that gets you access to the most recent content drops not including the videos.  Obligatory disclaimer:--there is some mature content on this site, mostly so far in the form of nudity on the part of many of the savage alter egos.

There is a lot of potential in the work being done on the Savage Jade Patreon.  In the most recent Immersive Access video, panels were combined in a way to create something of an animation effect.  I can only imagine what other innovations may come done the road as they work on these projects.   I hope you'll give them a look and those who are able can provide some support.
