So between my falling down the Disney+ rabbit hole and a 30th anniversary milestone a few days ago, I decided to go with my favorite Disney Princess (yes, I have a favorite Disney Princess) for this weekend's pinup. The Little Mermaid was an epiphany to me when I saw it way back in 1989. It was the first time I was really aware that not all animation was equal, especially when you compared what was on TV at the time vs. the big screen version. It had a direct effect on how I drew female characters, especially the classic version of Janet Walker, who I was just starting to work with on a regular basis. It also cemented my fondness for cartoon redheads, while we're at it.
Still experimenting with hybrid styles for my art with this too.
