On the Matter of Backgrounds, part 2
Added 2024-06-03 12:21:28 +0000 UTCOkay so I have had stress insomnia for the past 48 so I'm going to keep this brief:
Your voices have been heard. I'm stopping all use of AI generative content from this point on. The increase in productivity isn't worth worth the hit to subscribers, and 'm not any less burnt out or anxious now worrying about the damage it's doing to my audience base, and enough people just flat out think it looks bad that it's an overall failed experiment.
I really hope those of you that have decided this was a dealbreaker will stick around to see what I come up with instead, and I hope that those of you that were indifferent/supportive won't be too disappointed when the first of many alternative methods for backgrounds rolls out with the next picture.

I happy to see you've decided to stop using AI background. I appreciate your logic, but I simply don't trust the people behind this enough. I say this earnestly: I'd rather have very simple (IE: Flat color, simple shapes, or gradients) backgrounds then the ethical risk AI poses. Thank you for making this call and being open about it.

2024-06-05 05:27:36 +0000 UTCI'm sorry to have broken your trust. I was trying the new thing in order to see if it'd help me improve and be more productive, and I was trying to do it in an as ethical way as possible. But I clearly missed the mark, so I'm dialing it back. I made a mistake, I see that now.

2024-06-03 18:15:20 +0000 UTCI looked up to you once, and finding your work years ago inspired me to try out art myself. Though my interests had gone in a different direction, I still wanted to give some support. But with how thoroughly broken that respect, that trust, is. Good luck in your future endeavors.
