Brilliant writing in this episode. Incredible, iconic save scenes. Lana goes from sneaky to evil in this episode. 2 roses for me. More on my take about Lana's character: Really good for the show to see a more interesting side of her, which will dictate where her character goes over the next couple seasons....but, my critique is that I also find it somewhat not believable for her character to sink to a level of evil that goes beyond just dishonesty and deception... to the point where it puts others' lives at stake. Clark has set an example for this that I would more likely expect her to follow. Personally, I don't think a toxic 1-year relationship is likely to change someone's core values so drastically. Not saying it wouldn't affect them...just don't think it's likely to turn a genuine person into a monster. There's definitely a fine line between lying/dishonesty and becoming evil.

2025-08-31 23:20:55 +0000 UTCI have to give this one three roses. This was a perfect ep. Stand shoulder to shoulder with the pilot and Requiem. No flaws. I do wish in later eps Lana was held accountable for getting Madelyn involved, leading to her death at Lionel's hands (literally). But that's on other eps, not this one.
