I don't want to defend the movie too much (because it's not that good) but I gotta say all of your criticisms apply to the original - A soulless cash grab / grab bag of IP full of corny pop culture references and celebrity cameos. I guess the extra WB IP is the one new element but in the first movie Daffy Duck kisses the Warner Brothers logo taped to his ass.
