Since this Patreon feels like you all are supporting me personally, I thought I'd try making a video just sharing how things are going with me. I discuss what's been happening in my life lately and reflect on what might be next.

I know how you're feeling and the best I can say is to enjoy the journey no matter if it's not where you want it to go. Wanting to make a movie is important and gives you purpose and you should work towards that, but even if that's not what you end up doing, that you get to put some time engaging in the creative exercises that are fill you up even a little bit and with people who fill you up as well. I experience this as well, with my half-assed attempts at entrepreneurship. Still don't have a business up and running, but I'm learning a lot along the way. Also I don't mean to be reductive, but I think this was also the lesson in the Pixar movie Soul. That you're not a failure if you didn't succeed at your dreams, as long as you enjoyed your experience.

I'm not here for specifically the vlogs or the movie reviews or the interviews, etc. I'm here because I enjoy your content. If you want to vlog about the pandemic, I'm pretty sure I will find your perspective interesting, and the same goes for all the other content you create. I like your perspective on things, and even if the patreon had no patron-only content, I would still gladly support your creative work. I'm very sorry to hear you and Joy have been dealing with health issues, both physical and mental. I hope it gets better, for both of you.
