I personally pirated some games to later buy them on steam because I enjoyed them, so me pirating the games led to more sales at the end. These were game I wasn't originally planing on buying, so piracy definitely has a bright side to it.

great vid. sad the whole part that you don't technically own your digital games you bought. its merly a license to play the game and the devs or who ever you bought the game from can just take it from you at any time. the whole trending quote "If buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing"

And you're free to use it, but I'd personally prefer I'd it didn't exist.

Another fantastic video. I will support games that I love but at the same time I'd like to try them out before actually dropping the 40-60....70 dollars for a game I might not like.
Also shout-out to including your music playlists for the videos. Much appreciated.

Honestly, amazing vid! I never really saw things the way you talked about them in this video, and I think my opinion on the matter is genuinely deepened. You're doing great, keep it up dude!

mentioning specific sites or groups or people would’ve turned this into a much longer history video, which I didn’t want to do because there’s a lot of those online already

I have never pirated a game that i can get on steam or at the store for a reasonable price. There is no reason that haunting grounds should cost 400 dollars to play. I think thats another aspect that is important is old games that people want to play are sold for a ludocrous amount of money. If the company does not value a game enough to sell it to me than why would i spend money on it?

While I get why it didn't get mentioned, I'm a little sad that PirateBay didn't get any love

Good video! Another dilemma is that sometimes you buy the game on one platform and then want to play on another. Should you pay twice? I did, and then pirated TF2 anyway because EA forces the EA app on anyone who wants to play their games. So it was definitely a better experience after pirating, even IF I paid twice...
