Update: Game Genres & A Delay

Due to a family emergency, I’ll be taking another break here for the next week or so, to spend time with loved ones. Don’t want to get into the specifics, but no need to worry. Just know I’ll be taking it easy for a while here.
This break mostly means the Q&A&Update and some other second channel videos I had planned won’t be coming out this month. Though I’m working with a sponsor for the next main channel video, so that will still be out in mid September sometime. In order to lighten the load a bit, the video will be a shorter one though. My idea is to continue a point I brought up in the difficulty video and talk about gaming genres. Mosty about how weird “-like” genres (soulslike, roguelike, metroidvania) are.
It’ll be more of a rant than anything, and pretty short. But even still, I’d love to hear some opinions on it. What do you think of genres named after games? Which is your favorite? Are there any niche ones people might not know about? Let me know in the comments!
